I use them mainly to make money. Also with Wasteland Workshop you can build a Brahmin cage which produces fertilizer to make Jet. Ive made the like 400 things of Jet in one crafting session before.

Im pretty much a major drug kingpin in the Commonwealth lmao

I binged on it, but stopped about halfway through?

Fired it up again a couple of nights ago, but couldn't really get into it. I need to finish it, though. Hate not finishing games.

Stopped to play Witcher 3 and finished that in one go - GREAT story line and play.
Ditto, hit a wall about half way through and just started it back up. When I play, I know I have to commit a couple of hours (for me anyway) to get into it again (mostly weapons/gear/power armor improvements). Got the purified water trick at home base for $ so that's not an issue. Maybe a good weekend game come to think of it. Great timing:D

That game is weird, for me.

I love playing the story mode, but I get bored easily with the "creation" part of the game.

I don't mind the canned dialog from the NPC's while on a quest, but wandering around by yourself gets boring real quick.

The end game needs the randomness of multiplayer or something.

I agree about the settlements too. I've never found a compelling reason to spend a lot of time making them better. I constructed a few building and stuff, but once they were built, that was it. I never go visit them and nothing ever happens to them.

My son loves it but I get bored with it. I loved the new DOOM because it as about 90% action to 10% "other" while FO4 was way more dialogue, creation, etc. I like my apocalyptic games with a lot more aggression I guess! :)

Sounds like you're just into shooters. Fallout isn't really a shooter, although they try to get it closer to a hybrid rpg/shooter with every release.

I'm actually playing Fallout 1 right now, and this game still holds up today. The atmosphere that game created, for the year it was created, is so dang good. I'll be playing Fallout 2 after and 3 after that. I will be skipping New Vegas, I never cared for that game, atmosphere just didn't fit with the rest of the series. I like the feeling of dread and hopelessness and New Vegas lacked that.

I agree with the New Vegas assessment. I felt they rushed it.

That's what makes me so excited to play FO 4,and what I liked about the DC ruins in FO3.

As I said, the game had an eerie quality that was really captivating.

Not to derail this cool thread, but The Last Of Us had the same feel.

Bethesda sure does know how to build a world.

I was absolutely blown away at the size of Skyrim.

I was equally blown away at FO3.The DC ruins were really eerie the first time I played it.At the time I never played games like ES or FO.Just mainly shooters.(which I never play anymore, if I see another FPS on my TV,I'll puke):)

I think I read somewhere Bethesda talking about the size of the worlds in TES, Skyrim while large has a good bit of vertical climbing, etc that makes it appear bigger than it really is. I replayed Morrowind again a couple years ago with a graphic mod that removed the fog from the game world. Without the Fog the world seemed much smaller.

Oh yeah, Fallout 4 brings that hopelessness feeling greatly. I actually had to take breaks from playing it, I was immersed a little too much and started to get a bit depressed. Some of the recordings you find in the wasteland makes you tear up a bit,

I feel the Fallout 4 soundtrack is really underrated, probably the best gaming soundtrack of 2015. My favorite track.

Also I used to keep the the menu screen to Skyrim open when I was doing stuff around the house.

Makes everything seem so epic
