This is the last comment I’ll make in this thread. You can throw out the snide remarks, the insults, or whatever. I just don’t care and won’t respond again. My comment obviously struck a nerve with many. I don’t know if it’s insecurity or a “I’ll say whatever I want to say and you can’t do anything about it” mindset. Many of you either won’t or can’t comprehend the point I was trying to make. Most of you just wanted to argue.

Regardless, my point was not to say posters shouldn’t have opinions or criticize FO decisions. No where did I say that. What I said is the generalizations thrown out claiming the FO is completely inept, does not have a clue how to run an NFL franchise, does not know how to run an NFL draft, Jerry must be drunk again, etc. is ridiculous. I used several draft picks as an example that the FO isn’t incompetent and gets things right more than they’re given credit for. In some instances, they’re never given any credit. That’s a ridiculous stance to take. We all want titles, but they’re hard to come by. A lot of luck is involved. San Fran hasn’t won a title since 1995 and they’re a legendary franchise, as much as it pains me to say. Draft picks are hit and miss and no one, including the teams making the picks, can be sure they’ll pan out. They (and we) can think they know and hope their picks pan out, but nothing is a sure thing. 32 teams missed on Tom Brady considering he dropped to the sixth round. 30 missed on Joe Montana (3rd round). 32 missed on Romo (undrafted). There’s hundreds of other examples.

Finally, everyone claimed they have a right to post their opinions. Yes, you do. So do I, and that’s what I did. If you read my original post, you’ll see I did not mention any names. All I did is ask if anyone else was tired of the completely negative posts. Those that were offended or pissed off obviously think the post was directed towards them. It wasn’t, but the responses were very telling. I’ll end by saying Cowboys for # 6! Fire away, but don’t expect a response because you won’t get one. I just wanted to set my position straight since it’s been greatly misconstrued throughout this thread and I’m done with it.
I think many of us understand exactly what you're saying. I don't like when people read more into something than what's actually written that's my pet peeve. But you have to expect response. Some people call it challenge. I say you can't challenge in opinion you could only debate it . you can challenge facts nothing else . Bottom line is we take all the football we can get during the off-season

[QUOTE="BourbonBalz, post: 9299176, member: 7449"

Has anyone else grown so very tired of all the *****ing and moaning on here about the team ownership/management decisions on a daily basis?

NO as it's what these platforms (forums) are for

The majority of posters hated the Jaylon Smith pick. How has that worked out?

To be fair the entire industry said it was a gamble.

The majority hated the Vander Esch pick. How’s that worked out?

So far so good. A pessimist would say "even a blind hog finds an acorn from time to time"

Many, if not most, hated the Zeke pick. How’s that worked out?

Off the field issues, holding out when being a first round pick comes with a 5 year commitment.
He's good but at what cost?

Most thought drafting Dak was a bad selection, even though it was a compensatory fourth round pick. How’s that worked out?

Blind luck... Had Romo and his backup not gotten hurt, Dak would have been on the practice squad and possibly on another team by now.

The examples are endless and I could go on and on.

Please don't...

Every NFL team makes decisions that work out well and some that fall flat. It’s not an exact science.

something something sherlock

After all, you always know better than those actually running the world’s most valuable professional sports team. Right?

Actually, had the FO put a professional product on the field that resulted in consistently competing at
a championship level most of these assertions you make about posters opinions would be far less.

Valuable yes, and I'm not saying marketing is easy but championship level performance is something that has
completely eluded the current FO at this point
[/QUOTE]

After scrolling it looks like he responded to every single rebuttal but this one. This provides an honest, factual and non personal attack response.

I looked forward to reading the counter response but am disappointed but not surprised because I know the reason why there was no response.

Very nice post with excellent answers to all his specific comments. Personally, I thought the post could have ended after this one.

Fight? Over what? People can agree or disagree, but what I said is fact. We have a lot of posters that think they should be making decisions for an NFL franchise. It’s beyond laughable. I guess because I watch movies I should be Tom Cruise?
Our front office is what’s laughable.

However, far too many Dallas “fans” (I often question their true fandom) seem to think they know more about running an NFL franchise than our FO. It would be laughable if it wasn’t so pathetic. Some of you guys are wasting your imagined talents. You should quit your day jobs and start sending your resumes to various NFL teams. Afterall, you always know better than those actually running the world’s most valuable professional sports team. Right?

Team hasn't won jack in over 25 years and you are questioning the fandom of posters?

Are you for real bro or just high as a kite right now?
