Unless you have a son/daughter/child to entertain, there is no reason any adult fan frustrated with this crap should continue to spend any money on this franchise until things change. No other business would continue to get your money while providing you a poor product/service and refusing to make any changes to address those issues. So why do the Cowboys?

It's time to show some self-restraint, because It's obvious to everyone that Jerry and his family have felt little to no pressure to change because, win or lose, the bottomline $$$ has remained consistent the last decade. The last time Jerry felt uncomfortable was when the vote on the new stadium was looming, so he was forced to swallow his pride and hire Bill Parcells. If fans actually stood up to this guy, he and his family would be forced to make a similar move.

haven't bought anything in 6 years with the exception of a hat at a flea market (they had new stuff, I wouldn't buy a used one)...I couldn't agree more - the Jones' get nothing from me until they make a change - I have told family around bday and xmas that nothing Cowboys should be purchased - if they want to get me something sports-related, the go with the fighting irish
 
Just buy cheap Chinese jerseys so Jerry doesn't get a dime. Some of them are high quality.
 
I made my last jersey purchase earlier before the draft. I'm done as well.

I had grand plans to travel all over the United States and watch between 4-5 games this year, but those aspirations were diminished when I watched us get murked in WEEK ONE at BOA Stadium. One of the worst teams fielded this season and it's telling that Jason Garrett has two wins because he's barely been able to out coach rookie coaches.
 
Each NFL team received $255m in 2017 from TV contracts. I'm sure Jerry has multiple other endorsement and marketing deals relating to the team that bring in untold millions per year, which are long term in nature. Prime money season ticket holders are rich and probably barely watch the game, they aren't giving them up.

Some passionate fans on a message board not buying a dang hat or a jersey or what have you isn't even the tiniest drop in this ocean of money.

And no, I will not stop watching every game and going to the stadium every now and again.

You guys act like this is some kind of war that needs to be won. It was over decades ago, and Jerry won. It's entertainment, pure and simple, and we have as much influence over the product on the field as we do watching one of those comic book movies in a theater.
 
I haven't bought Cowboys tickets, SWAG, etc for ten years now. It probably will never have an effect on the Jones Boys decision making but it's a matter of principle with me. I have been a fan since 1963 and it's disheartening that a drunk fool can insist on making most of the football decisions even though his only skills are business, drinking, and call girls. I already have the tar and feathers ready for when Jerry puts a huge statue of himself outside the death star. There is no other professional sports franchise that is run the way ours is run, not even close.
 
I minored in economics but did only so-so in finance.

In April, Arkoma Drilling received 88 million stock shares in Comstock Resources. Current New York Stock Exchange price for Comstock is $9.25 a share. I could be wrong and there is some formula for computing the selling price of stock but the current share price multiplied by number of Comstock stock would be $821 million+.

Could also mention how television revenue, sponsorship revenue, real estate revenue, etc., significantly (understatement) eclipse ticket, concessions, premium seating, and merchandising revenue but I thought it may be interesting how impressive the stock may be currently worth--which is even supercedes ticket, concessions, premium seating and merchandising revenue by a significant margin alone.

One guess who owns Arkoma Drilling?
 
If I ever get to the point where I feel my frustration is so high that I need to purposely stop buying something in order to try and send a message to get my way, I'm just going to walk away from the sport entirely. I get as frustrated as the next fan with some of the decisions that are made and want the team to be more successful, but I'm not going to conduct a financial boycott so I don't enable Jerry to run the team the way he sees fit. Good for you if you don't want to spend money on the team. That's your choice, but calling other fans out because they will continue to support the team in the manner in which they choose is childish, IMO.

I have one Cowboy winter coat that's falling apart BTW. I haven't bought anything else Cowboy related since the triplets. I'm not buying anything until they start competing for titles.
 
There are too many sources of revenue available to the Jones family for us to make much of a difference.
