Some fellas are naturally talented in ways to attend to the "dirty work."

It's not awfully difficult to see where Noah fits nicely into that category.

I think Noah is poised to have somewhat of a breakout year. There are some things he can do on offense that have kind of gone overlooked, so I think he'll just have a bigger role this year. And he will have a lot of us scratching our heads, going wait, I thought he was just a special teams guy, etc. He's poised to surprise a lot of folks, and gain a bigger role in the offense.

So, 340 yards, I'm thinking.

Noah Brown is one of those lunchbox guys. He's not flashy, but does what's asked. He's not a fantasy team darling, so many don't respect what he brings to the team.

I would say if there were a year to put Noah on your fantasy team, it would be this year.

Actually, there are things Noah Brown can really do in the passing game. And I think this will be the year that Brown surprises a few folks, including myself, a little bit. The truth is, he's only 26-years old. It just took some time for him to develop into having more of a role. But I think he'll be one of the biggest surprises this whole year. At least, that's the sense I'm getting. They have to have a good reason for it. And I see some things with the player that can actually develop.

I'm looking forward to seeing Fehoko, Tolbert, Turpin as well. But Brown is poised to surprise right now.

So true! It's not every WR with the wherewithal to do the blocking, as well as attending to the more delicate intricacies of that position. :flagwave:

It seems gloriously obvious that each of us has our "special purpose" that separates us from the humdrum characters that we normally see!

Yep, this is one of the reasons I liked Shampklin, he showed me he could make the block, and get open and catch the ball and run after the catch, all in one play. But Noah is the same way at WR. He's not going to blow you away athletically, but he has enough athleticism. to get it done, and he works hard, so I'm good with keeping a guy like that, and giving him a bigger role.

Plus, big guys just help you sometimes.

Like him or not, this is Noah's time. He'll finally get a chance to be more than a spot check player. He needs Dak to give him some confidence and opportunity to contribute. A chance to get some rhythm going.

We should try to cheer him on if we can manage it. I know it hurts....but try. Noah playing well would be great for him, Dak, this team...and us. After the apologies of course! :)

This is from Blogging the Boys.

As a fierce critic of Noah Brown this instead gave me insight into his role: The top blocking WR on the team. Blimey! As the story states, Noah Brown played in 25% of offencive snaps last year. Amazing, among Lamb, Amari and Gallup!

I have a newfound affliction for Noah.

Affliction or affection? I think you do not need any more afflictions.

Good thing NO OTHER teams have jags as their 4-5 WR, ST's, and play when needed players.
They all do, but you don't hold onto them for 5 years, those bottom of the roster guys are the ones that should get churned out. He's getting a shot as a starter, not because he's earned it by flashing at the position, but because of our own dire WR situation.

Don't get me wrong, I hope he does well and he's a try hard guy, but I have low expectations for him, if it didn't click in 4 years, I'm not expecting much in year 5.

Why do we HAVE to ditch him? I don't think he's crushing our cap. And now we need a WR. He knows the plays and has a relationship with the QB.

I just don't see your need to kick him to the curb.

I'm not saying we ditch him now, much too late for that. This is kinda the point, we shouldn't have been in the position to be pinning our hopes on Noah Brown as our WR2. Regardless of the other thankless things he does, if he hasn't produced in years 1-4 as a WR, I have little hope that it will in Year 5.

Noah Brown is a waste of a roster spot. He's here because he is Zeke's OSU buddy and Jerry wants Zeke to be comfortable.
