Gotta give him some credit for trying. Just keep it simple. Players got to make good decisions, though the contact with the kicker was from being blocked into him from the angle I saw.

Not for Wilson. He was a free runner, went for the block and fell into the punter's plant leg. That was the penalty.

In his defense...the plan wasn't to give it back......he didn't tell his player to go and commit a penalty the objective was to block the punt.
You play how you practice. The players should know to fear running into the kicker for the sake of turning the ball back over. Thats on the coaches. 75% of penalties is on the coaches. If they let it go in practice it'll happen in the game. Jimmy and Parcells teams were very good with limiting their penalties especially at important times in the game.

Yeah, that's a no from me.

How about take some accountability for your bone head decision and not weirdly place the blame on the fans.

If anybody had lingering doubts about Fassel and the job that he is doing with the special teams, these comments should remove them. There is no doubt that he needs to go. It was bad enough that he brought his guys to Dallas and gave them starting positions without any competition. Now he is showing his ignorance and stupidity with these comments. Any owner ,other than Jerry, would have handed him his walking papers after he made these comments.

You don’t expect any more than a five or a 15 yard penalty. Yeah go for the block.

I really hope you are not taking him serious.
It doesn’t matter if he made these comments in a joking manner or if he was serious. He stepped into a bad situation because the Dallas special teams was horrible, but he has done absolutely nothing to improve things. Special teams play has not improved at all. He is not in a position to joke around .

He really said that ? Holy smokes dude your not playing for us applauding you your playing for
Sound Football and 4th & 20 roughing the punter was like Big Mikes Subs trotting out the FG kicker before half for a 60 yarder in Tampa giving Tommy a shot at the end zone.

I almost forgot about that idiot call. 4th and 20 and you give them a first down. Our ST coach is a true idiot at times. He gives Mike a Big Mac and he gets his way on all calls:facepalm:

Are the Buccaneers poorly coached since they commit the most penalties in the league?

Hold on Einstein - there were 3 normal possibilities: a block, a penalty, or no block with no penalty. Most of the time it’s no block with no penalty. So why try at all if you’re not going to be successful blocking it ? And it wasn’t a desperate situation. Now the other two possibilities were a block or penalty. Penalties happen far more often than blocks. So the situation didn’t require a desperate blocking attempt yet Coach Numbnuts calls the blocking attempt when the highest probability outcomes were no block or a penalty. That was beyond stupid coaching when your offense is about to get the ball back to close out the half. It was so stupid even he wouldn’t defend the call, he just blamed it on someone else - the fans.
