Fassel on Aubrey

A lot of people believe in him.

Who? "A lot of people" is kind of vague.

I wanted us to pick him up and give him a try (along with another USFL kicker) but that's a far cry from belief. I have hope based on what he accomplished in the junior league.

The 3 kicks he made were right down the middle.

I think that's one reason they liked him. His mechanics seem to be sound for delivering the kicks down the middle. However, what it takes to make sure that happens also might be what holds him back on the longer kicks. His kickoffs showed he clearly has enough leg.

Oh, OK. Yeah, I think Boniol brought him to Dallas' attention and has really helped him to get the shots that he has gotten.

It's tough being a kicker. You get off and it's hard to correct course because it's usually as much mental as physical.

Bones may have faith in him and that’s fine. We all have our pet peeves, but to rely on him when we have a chance to actually make a run to the Super Bowl in my opinion it’s just ludicrous, insane and stupid judgment saying all that though don’t see anyone out there right now that we could put on the roster felt like they should’ve dug deeper when they had people that were available. hopefully this won’t come back to bite us in the butt. I would hate to be in the NFC championship game in our kicker misses the field goal to win the game. This board work implode explode, and people would be on suicide watch lol.
