Fats Domino has passed

You could sense Holly was turning the corner when he moved to NYC and cut "True Love Ways" which was a big departure from his hill-billy rock roots. It would have been interesting to see what he would have become.

Too me Jerry Lee was better performer than singer. Only had a couple of hits which IMO hurts his legacy... That and the other stuff you brought up.
Couldn’t agree more. There is something to be said for being a world-class performer, especially in this day and age. But still, couldn’t agree more, Mike. I did like the piano in Rock n Roll, but Lewis wasn’t the first.

For those that don’t know it, YouTube True Love Ways. So good.

I’m like an old 34 year old, Mike :)

I added more to the post Mike, I’m sure you’d agree with what I added

And he was better and more established and more of a jet setter than all you cited except Elvis, for sure, and maybe Berry and Lewis.

Valens and Holly aren’t in his league. Not even close, bro.

Because he started his recording career before the 1950s. As for Holly, that's your opinion, not mine. Valens died when he was 17, so don't know why you mentioned him.

You mentioned Valens, my brother. You did. Post number 3, for crying out loud.

As for when he started his career, what in the bloody hell does that have to do with anything? In fact, it hurts your argument. Rock n Roll is widely regarded as starting in the early ‘50’s.

Please don’t go on and on. Or do, I have nothing more to do.
