There's a popular misconception that we're running more with Prescott than we did with Romo. This is our play selection so far after removing plays when leading by more than 10 points inside the last 5:00 of the game.
2016
run 179 (48.4%)
pass 191 (51.6%)
2014
run 468 (48.2%)
pass 503 (51.8%)

So you think we faced more "stop-the-run" fronts with Romo? What's missing from those stats are how many times the team is currently facing "stop-the-run" fronts vs what they were facing in 2014.

Dak has to learn to audible out of 8 man boxes. Very frustrating to see a stacked box and we run it anyway

I know, I was just trying to figure out EGG's logic.I think it is probably the opposite. When Tony (and Dez) is playing they see more pass protection and they were able to take advantage of it with the run.
Interesting take on Dak and Zeke.
These are my exact thoughts. I really believed I was going to hear some hate there.Rarely do I agree with the well documented Cowboy hater Faulk.
This is one of those times however.
That's true with either QB.I think that can go both ways. With Romo and Dez back in the lineup teams won't be able to stack the line because that leaves single coverage for Dez to feast on, which in turn leaves open space for Zeke to run through which could get him even more yards
