Wht the hell?
I never said Miles is the best ever I said he has the potential to become the best ever since he can make big plays, and short tough yard hard catch plays, hes the best CURRENTLY playing ive said that time and time again and 1320 yards 11 tds in 11 starts proves me right. I not only say that now, I said it after the Atlanta game, so don't call me "oh ya you just started saying it a few weeks ago" heck na I was the first on these boards to say it
Only other one I could see a case being made for is Andre Johnson.
Peyton Manning is in the discussion, sure he is a top 10 QB of all time no problem, but when people rank him as the best of all time it simply is not true. He has been surrounded by talent ever year, and don't even say "pierre garcon" because I will say "Reggie Wayne and Dallas Clark"
Romo has Witten and Austin, Pierre Garcon is their Roy Williams;
No you actually also made the claim on these forums, cause I remember you being laughed at that he was and would be the best WR ever. Better than Rice. Better than Irvin. Those were your words. So, yeah, forgive me if I don't take your opinion on who the best players of all time are very seriously.
And now you're going to pull the weapons thing out to use against Manning? Well then by that card Aikman had Irvin and Jay and one of the best, if not the best, runningbacks to ever play the game. Now I guess he and the 3 Superbowls he helped win were over-rated.
Staubach only had Drew Pearson at WR and Duane Thomas and then Tony D at runningback. Now we have to devalue the 2 Superbowls he helped win cause of the talent around him.
And lets see Montana had guys like Roger Craig, John Taylor, Dwight Clark and this other guy, oh what was his name again...Oh yeah, Jerry Rice. The guy, btw, who IS the best WR to ever play the game and it's not even a remotely debatable subject. So now those 4 Superbowl rings aren't as cool that Montana helped win cause he had all those weapons around him.
And that makes it even more funny cause you knock Manning for not having more Superbowls, which is a direct result of having a great team, but then a few posts later now you're trying to take credit away from him for having talent around him all the while trying to forget that the folks you were patting on the back before also had major talent around them.
Way to prove, once more, you haven't got a clue what you're talking about when it comes to the history of the NFL or it's best players.
