I'm not saying what car you would "love to own". I'm asking if you are a _____ man. My Dad was a Chevy man. All the vehicles we had when I was growing up were Chevy's. I started out with Chevrolet but the past few (5) have been Ford/Mercury's, so you could say I'm a Ford guy.

What are you?

:)

I've was a GM man and so was my wife (my father-in-law retired GM) both our whole lives. Last year she bought a new Hyundai Sante Fe. I'm due for a new truck in a couple of years and it won't be GM. That company has lost our business and likely won't get it back.

I'm not brand loyal in the slightest. I currently have a Ford Explorer Sport-Trac that is eight years old and has run like a dream. Never in the shop one single day. I am very rough on my vehicles and this one has pulled trailers, boats, jet skis, with tools, rock, mulch, wood, stone, sod and sand in the bed. It has run been driven through salt water, sand, mud and swamp and never been stuck. Plenty of room for the family. Good gas mileage all things considered. It has been a great purchase.

But, when this one kicks off (or in another seven years, whichever is sooner), I will do my research and figure out what the best vehicle is for me at that point and time. I will probably upgrade to a V-8 so I can tow a large boat or camper. Ford will get my business if their products warrant it. If they don't then I will look elsewhere.

Ford.

My grandfather and mother only bought Fords almost their entire lives and we never had a lemon. My first two cars were both Ford Rangers. I drove them 140,000 and 168,000 miles before trading them in. The only work that was ever done was normal maintenance for wear and tear.

Consumer reports says Ford is the most reliable US car maker.

That said, since I've met my wife, I've had nothing but European cars. :laugh2:

Grew up a Chevy guy but find myself liking Ford's more and more since 95% of Chevy's vehicles are just annoymous and bland, especially if you don't plan on buying a truck or SUV. (I do love the new Camaro though, and would love the Volt too but it won't be affordable for me)

Meanwhile Ford has pretty much revamped their whole lineup and were one of the first domestic makers to realize that the interior quality of a car matters.

I've been driving a Dodge Durango for like the last 9 years though, so what do I know. Planning on getting a new car soon but really stumped as to what to get. Leaning towards the 2011 Ford Edge Sport:

What? You mean the car payment plus the $500-$550 a month for a monthly parking spot in Manhattan?

My favorite is probably Nissan. Have had 2 Nissans and haven't had a single thing go wrong with them except for normal car maintenance.

Not really loyal to any brand, but I may become a Honda guy if my Accord keeps treating me right! I've only had it for a year and a half but haven't had any issues out of it as of yet (except for the rear brake pads wearing out abnormally). I'm about to get my daughter a Civic too so maybe we'll be a Honda family (it doesn't hurt that I have connections w/ my local dealer ;) )!

I've only ever owned Buicks or Fords (mostly Fords) so I'd say I'm a Ford man.

I've owned two Mazdas that have been great cars. As far as trucks go I like Chevys.

I have no loyalty to any brand, I do my research and try to find the car that fits my budget etc the best. It is nice to see the American car manufacturers finally stepping up to produce higher quality better looking cars, that hasnt always been the case.

Chevy lady.. I've owned other brands, but when I decided to buy new, I got Chevy.

My mom worked the GM assembly line my whole life. I get the employee discount for any chevy vehicle.
