What is your most memorable Cowboys moment/s. I know the title says Cowboy, but I meant to say Cowboys (as a team). No success trying to change the title. Mine is, without a doubt, the 1992 NFC Championship Game against the mighty 49ers. We were an upstart team not favored to win. In fact, the pundits thought we were just the 49er's step ladder to the Super Bowl, a mere formality.

There have been several more memories before and even after that 1992 game, but this one is by far my favorite.

Yes, a great moment indeed, but I looked at that as kinda bitter sweet. We were not very good as a team, but it was a great individual accomplishment, no doubt.

Well I am only 21 years old.... my idol when I was a little kid was Emmitt. By far the greatest thing I completely remember. At that time, I probably cared more about Emmitt than the Cowboys lmao.

I was at the 1996 playoff game when we beat the Eagles on the way to that last super bowl but I was very young... I remember it but nothing like that moment.

Emmitt breaking the record was probably my favorite moment in sports.

I can understand that. Emmitt was so instrumental during our run of 3 out of 4 Super Bowls. It's a shame that his legacy is reduced, by many to "well, he had a great offensive line". Damn shame!

Yes it is a shame; I just ignore all that crap. It will never be reduced to me haha because when your a little kid and that's your idol that's all that matters lol. Emmitt is still my favorite athlete of all time.

Such a great dude all around on and off the field.

Love this Seahawks tool talking crap to Emmitt.... Who does he think he is? hahaha

Also, heres some Emmitt highlights to shut up all his critics. Love the ones from his broken collarbone game.

For sure, one of the faces of the modern day franchise, along with Michael and Troy

This was actually the day when I realized I loved the star more than any individual player that plays for the cowboys.

Even though I love emmitt I think he is the best ever, I was really mad that we lost that game against seattle that we probably should have won.

I know the team was bad that year, but at the time a win would have made us 4-4 but instead we fell to 3-5. So this moment was very bittersweet.

Those are all great!

However,

Hail Merry to Drew Pearson will always be #1 unless we win a Super Bowl on the final play of the game ;-)

The Roger Staubach Hail Mary pass to Drew Pearson. My brothers were watching the game with me. They were age 11 and 10. The older one was a die hard Vikings fan at the time and the younger one was all Cowboys like me. After the Vikings took the 14-10 lead late in the game and all was looking lost my younger brother started crying because the season was about to end ( I felt like it too but we had company at our house that day so I held back the tears). The Viking fan brother then began to rub it in to my little brother while laughing telling him "Don't worry, There's always next year! Ha Ha".

Then after the Hail Mary play the roles were quickly reversed. The younger brother was now laughing(while still having tears in his eyes) and the older one now crying. Us two Cowboys fans re-enacted that play over and over that night while the Viking fan brother kept crying and saying that Pearson pushed off! Doing the barn chores that night was never more enjoyable. My younger brother died of cancer a few years later and that will probably always be my all time favorite Cowboys moment.

Friend, that's a great story. Thanks for sharing.

1992 Superbowl. That was my first Superbowl as the earlier ones I was a little too young and didn't quite have a full understanding (or fandom) of Football.

The Super Bowl wins....all of them....when you can end the grind of a season with a championship....nothing is better. Years of disappointment....struggles...etc....and then to finally win a championship...my oh my...what a feeling :)

aside from the Super Bowl win's ... Troy to Rocket to beat the deadskin's

Super Bowl XXX. Our 3rd in 4 years.

By this game, EVERYBODY hated us, but lo and behold, the bad guys win again. I was 10 and had a Super Bowl party at my house with all my friends there... they were all rooting for Pittsburgh.

And I really loved that we gave Pittsburgh real hope only to shatter their hearts late. Awesome. :lmao2:

I have been watching the Cowboys since 1961 and I have had lots of good memories and about as many bummers but I kinda hope the best one is yet to come.
