Walter Payton, i had the pleasure to meet him at an Indy Car race. He was signing autographs and talking to everyone, when I got him to sign something for me I looked at it then looked at him and said damn I thought you were Emmitt Smith. He put me in a headlock and started laughing, he was great!

that's a great story. Payton was one of my all time favorite non-cowboys also.
