Is The Carol Burnett Show considered a sitcom? I loved that show. Tim Conway killed me every time.

But others....

No longer running.... and I'm sure i left out some.
Sanford and Son

Arrested Development
Night Court
I Dream of Jennie
Friends

*Couldn't stand to watch Seinfeld.

Still running... I'm sure there are more but i just don't watch much TV any more.

1a) Beverly Hillbillies (Jed opens up a topless (no hat) restuarant)
1b) Taxi (Jim takes the driver's test, Yellow light- slow down)
1c) Gilligan's Island (Still have dreams of me and Ginger on a deserted island)
1d) I Dream of Jenie (How could Larry Hagman not drool on the set?)
1e) Mash
1f) Hogan's Heroes

One TV series I would like to get the complete set of is Rat Patrol. I remember catching some reruns one year and liked it. Haven't seen that series in a long time.

One series I wouldn't mind watching reruns of is Barney Miller. I didn't particularly care for it back then but I think I might like it now.

You DO NOT really want a complete set of the Rat Patrol. FYI, it was available thru Blockbuster. But believe me when I tell you it's ALOT better in your memory (man those jeeps could FLY over those sand dunes) then it is in reality.

Best comedies
The Odd Couple -A password like Aristophanes is ridiculous!!
Happy Days - The Fonz:: Well I gotta hit somebody. You know where Potsie is?
The Andy Griffith Show - Poor Horatio, just half a boy
The Carol Burnet - There were these 2 elephants whose trunks got tied together
Monty Python - Spam

I can't name any recent ones that I watch. I just don't find them funny. Pretty much all of my favorites have been mentioned. Count me in on not finding Seinfeld funny.

Have you seen Father Ted? Same guy that makes it, one of the finest things ever made for television in my opinion.
In terms of American tele I really enjoyed the first 2 series of Modern Family, not seen any of the third yet.
Has anyone mentioned Fawlty Towers yet?

No I havent but thanks for the heads up, will definitely check it out.

The only current ones that are remotely funny are The Middle and Last Man Standing. Other than that, they are all pretty bad.

I don't watch any current sitcoms but love old reruns of Andy Griffith, Everybody Loves Raymond, King of Queens. Don Knotts was a genius.

Last man standing has become my favorite along with modern family.

All in the Family was ahead of it's time. Classic. Carroll O'Connor was a genius. Without the titles.....he basically produced, wrote and directed that show.

Am I the only one who liked The Brady Bunch?

I use to like the Brady Bunch until I saw the episode where Bobby Brady was mowing the families astroturf lawn then I lost all respect for it. :)

That being said, "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" is number one for me.
Agree, and agree with your take on the office. My number 2 is probably The League. Season 3 wasn't great, but that show just cracks me up.

I've always been a big fan of The King of Queens too
