So many different types of music I like...so many different bands and songs...hard to chose one.
Hmm...
Strawberry Fields Forever...Just love that song even though I normally like heavier songs...it was just so ahead of it's time IMO (musically) and such a departure from the beatles earlier stuff.
Also Day Tripper, Revolution.
Some Zepplin songs - Maybe not the great classics Zep is known for..but I still love them...
What is and What should never be
Gallows Pole
Bron y aur stomp.
Love the Old Blues songs that take how bad a guy is to Mythic Levels like...
Hoochie Coochie Man
Who Do you Love
Mannish Boy
Boom Boom
Crawlin King Snake
Voodoo Chile
Then my harder edge likes a few songs by Slayer
Reign in Blood
Seasons in the Abyss
Born of Fire
Pretty much anything by CCR although I really like Fortunate son and born on the bayou.
Well...I could go on for hours lol...so I will just cut it short now.
BP...you got some great songs listed there.
CCR..."Born On A Bayou" pure balls....same with Fortunate Son...I have seen JC Fogerty live about ten times...
Strawberry Fields great also...ALOT of George Martin on that one. For being ahead of its time, I've always liked Good Vibrations...even though it IS the Beach Boys.
My other Beatle fav is "Oh Darling" for the same reason as "Born On A Bayou"...Name one other vocalist who can sing this Oh Darling AND Yesterday as McCartney did. And if ya go back to the old days, "Please Please Me" for it's PURE energy.
I've always liked "Heart of the Matter" by Don Henley...I've also seen him a number of times and it never fails, the entire audience sings this song with him...and after the first verse, everyone stands and claps..
Then there's Aerosmith...there are a few there...
Cavatina...the Theme from the Deer Hunter is great...
Oh that's right, it was supposed to be ONE song.
Is Tchaikovsky's Sixth Symphony a "song"?
