I completely forgot Redd Foxx, really enjoyed him. Ron White for sure. Craig Ferguson. I like Steve Harvey and then I want him to stop clowning. Jim Carrey was good before he went crazy. Throw in all the Wayans Brothers!Some great mentions on here, Carlin, Chapelle, Dice, Murphy, Pryor, Dane Cook {just joking about Cook}
Gotta add Redd Foxx to the mix.
Louie earned my respect for owning up to his part in the scandal. He deserves recognition for his work.Do people really not like Louie or is it too soon after the whole scandal? He's levels above any living comedian and it's not really close.
True... Bill was like your Father's Comedian. Doesn't shock me about his sordid actions though.A lot of good mentions. Eddie Murphy's Raw and Delirious is high on my list too. Dangerfield was also one I noticed mentioned that I always enjoyed.
Back in the day, if you were in the mood for clean comedy, I always though Bill Cosby was pretty funny. I know his legacy is tarnished now but that doesn't take away from what he accomplished. His street football skit always made me laugh.
Yeah, Larry the Cable Guy got old very quickly for me. How many times can you say, "Git 'er done!", before it is?There are the obvious ones - Seinfeld, Carlin, Pryor, Murphy and others. And classics like Rickles and Dangerfield.
Then there are few I discovered through XM radio that I think are very good - Kathleen Madigan, Mitch Hedberg, Ralphie May ... all very funny.
Big fan of Lewis Black too.
Nobody is giving the rednecks any due? Foxworthy? Ron White? (Forget Larry the Cable Guy - much too redneck)
I just recently watched Steve Martin and Martin Short, on Netflix. A bit self serving and corny at times, but overall, pretty funny, and showcases both their talents. All of you guys mentioned some really great comedians.
I'm a little shocked nobody said Steve Martin... He was a great Stand-Up.
I had a couple of his albums... I still have several Carlin and Pryor records.
But Steve was great. Now I listen to his bluegrass records... Funny how things go.
And those awful, unenjoyable movies!Yeah, Larry the Cable Guy got old very quickly for me. How many times can you say, "Git 'er done!", before it is?
I'll take your word for it....never seen one. (by choice)And those awful, unenjoyable movies!
Ya,Bill Cosby! I remember mom& dad having his 33 lp record titledA lot of good mentions. Eddie Murphy's Raw and Delirious is high on my list too. Dangerfield was also one I noticed mentioned that I always enjoyed.

Man, that ol' boy went 'off the rails' in my view, as I'd caught part of his 'act' as he went into great detail on his masterful building of a " poop lasagna" while on the commode,,,I changed the channel & haven't even considered seeing or hearing anything from him sinceYeah, Larry the Cable Guy got old very quickly for me. Dice's New Years special was freaking fantastic, first time I had ever seen him and couldn't believe it. EM's Raw was also fantastic. Have them both on VHS if anybody happens to remember that format!Forgot about Dice.
Good old Mother Goose.. remember her? LOL
Back in the day I got to see Dice... and Eddie Murphy's Raw tour. Never saw Carlin live.
I agree think Carlin is way overrated.Am I really the only one who thinks George Carlin is overrated? He's okay sometimes, but mostly he just says ordinary stuff in a strange voice.
Tim ConwayCarol Burnett & Company were hilarious. I still watch it.
Have you watched F is for Family on Netflix?Bill Burr’s pretty great.
How Tim and Harvey would make each other genuinely break character and laugh was always the greatest.Tim Conway
