Most clean comedian from the past in private shows they are not so clean.Yeah, but he was still dirty.
He was great at interaction with the audience. I remember once, a lady got up in the middle of his routine to use the bathroom, so he made everyone in that section switch seats. Then he chastised her for interrupting his act, while she was trying to find her seat. It was hilarious! His greatest comedic claim to fame was putting that surgical rubber glove half way over his head and blowing it up like a balloon by exhaling thru his nose,,, then years later he shaves his head bald
* he had some pretty thick hair back when he was doing that glove routine
Since most are already mentioned, I'm gonna throw Brian Regan in the list. Doesn't use profanity at all and is absolutely fantastic. Save him live once and even though I knew a good bit of his routine, I was still rolling.
Dave Attell is also very good. Went to one of his shows once.
I appreciate his whitty one-liners on AGT and his appreciation for stupid comedy. He's always very gracious towards the comics on that show. Seems like a good dood.Any love for Howie Mandel? I always liked that odd bird
Evidently, that was his TV presentation, and he was my favorite growing up, because my parents saw his Vegas stand up and he was a lot more adult with his language. My Dad, a humorist himself, said he set the audience up for the night with a very adult version of Gertrude and Heathcliff right out of the chute, the two seagulls he did on TV. He said the audience was a mixture of shock not knowing this side of his humor and losing their breath with laughter.Red Skelton

If we are going old OLD school, I will throw out Jack Benny. His act was very deadpan but he had superb comedic timing.Red Skelton

I used to live in his "hometown" A.O. & would drive across "HIS" memorial river bridge to Illinois for cheaper boozeEvidently, that was his TV presentation, and he was my favorite growing up, because my parents saw his Vegas stand up and he was a lot more adult with his language. OMG, I can't believe I forgot about Brian Regan!! He has never once failed to make me laugh. The guy is just ridiculous at making fun of morons!Since most are already mentioned, I'm gonna throw Brian Regan in the list. Doesn't use profanity at all and is absolutely fantastic. Kinda like Bob Saget? HahaEvidently, that was his TV presentation, and he was my favorite growing up, because my parents saw his Vegas stand up and he was a lot more adult with his language. Well now that's interesting because I remember an interview with him and he stated that he couldn't understand why comedians felt the need to swear to get a laugh. Interesting indeed.Evidently, that was his TV presentation, and he was my favorite growing up, because my parents saw his Vegas stand up and he was a lot more adult with his language. Did Patrice Oneal ever have a special?I haven't seen Bill Hicks or Patrice O'Neal mentioned yet. Or Louie. That one's surprising.
