You love your soccer. The story about the Rangers is just pure greed and evil. I don't even know them and already hate them!

Cheers!

I'm Scottish, a love of football (soccer) is pretty standard here and that's magnified if you live in Glasgow - where I'm from - due to the Celtic and Rangers thing. Most of the foreign teams have personal connections for me, got engaged/getting married in Dalmatia where Hajduk are widely supported, been to a few games in Marseille etc but I wouldn't class myself as a supporter of anyone other than Celtic and to a lesser extent Dallas.
To be fair I'm sure fans of Rangers would disagree with some of what I said though it's most football fans here, obviously outwith the Rangers support, who hold those beliefs not just Celtic fans.

That's awesome. I'm a redheaded, Scots-Irish, American (if that makes any sense) and played organized soccer for 13 years. Loved it! Thinking back, I wish I would have put more time and effort into it. Oh well, I have my FIFA 2014 X box game. Lol I'm currently playing as the manager for "The Boys in Green."

We need to bring your love for the Dallas Cowboys up to the level of the Celtics.;)

Has to be tough being a Knicks fan these days. Maybe Phil at some point can bring them back to relevance. Really wish you hated the Penguins too. Lol

The Dallas Cowboys and Baltimore Orioles are the 2 teams that I truly love and will always love. They are who I am, or at least in part. I can honestly say that I consider myself extremely fortunate to be addicted to those 2 teams. Everybody here knows what a privilege it is to be a long time fan of the Cowboys, but most would have no idea why I can say it equally about the Baltimore Orioles.

The Orioles were the winningest team in all of MLB in the 70's. Four 20 games winners in one season. In the 70's when I began to follow baseball, we had Cy Young winners, Jim Palmer 3 times, Mike Flanagan, and then Steve Stone w/25 wins in 1980, Rookies of the Year and MVP's and MVP candidates. I caught the tail end of Brooks Robinson's career, the greatest 3rd baseman of all time. He played all of his 23 years in Baltimore winning 16 consecutive Gold Gloves and the AL MVP in 1964. Frank Robinson won the AL Triple Crown & MVP in 1966, Boog Powell AL MVP in 1970. In 77 Eddie Murray won ROY of the year and began his journey to the HOF. He joined Mickey Mantle as the only switch hitter to get 3000 career hits and 500 homers. Then Cal Ripken Jr was AL ROY in 82 and AL MVP in 83. Charm City has the best baseball fans in all of MLB.

And the Orioles have the best group of living Hall of Famers of any team. Frank & Brooks Robinson, Jim Palmer, Eddie Murray & Cal Ripken Jr.

As a kid Roger Staubach and Jim Palmer were my heroes.

Im all over the map on teams I like. Born in Dallas, but at age 7 we moved to the Wash DC area. When I left TX there were no Rangers, Mavs, or Stars. When I went to my first MLB game it was the Senators at RFK. The next year they moved to Texas. So I grew up in MD, Skins territory. As a young kid I grew to hate the Commanders with every fiber of my being. And over 40 years later that hate has never diminished one bit. My grandfather grew up in Balt and was a lifelong Orioles fan so it was natural for me to take a liking to the local team.

I love the Cowboys and like the Dolphins.

Hate the Skins, Steelers, Niners, Pats, Eagles in that order. Dislike the Giants, Jets.

I love the Orioles and like the Cardinals, Tigers and Rangers.

Hate the Skankees & Sux mostly because of all their stupid fans. As a kid I liked all the teams in the AL East.

NBA, meh, not much interest at all but it was fun rooting for the Heat when Lebron was here. Went to Game 5 in the Finals when they beat OKC.

Hate the Celtics and Lakers.

NHL, like the Caps and Red Wings but dont pay much attention anymore.

Hate the NY, Pitt & Philly teams as well as the Avalanche.

College Sports - Root for the Terps in football and basketball so I hate DUKE and NC. Root for Miami and Michigan in football. Hate FSU & FL, VA Tech, Ohio State, Penn State, Notre Dame, USC.

NASCAR. Loved Dale Earnhardt, so naturally root for Jr. Root for Tony Stewart. Hate Jeffrey Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Busch brothers, Brad Kezelowski.

NHRA, I like most all of them but usually pull for Cruz Pedregon as my favorite funny car driver.

Dont care about golf other than love it when Tiger is a non factor or loses.

The way you feel about the Orioles and Cowboys is how I feel about the Spurs and Cowboys. I have been a fan of both since I was inside my mother's womb, if possible. I am San Antonio born and raised, I take great pride in that fact, and the Silver and Black courses through my veins, as does the Silver and Blue of the Cowboys.

Very cool write up. Can't fault you one bit for rooting for grandpa's team. Glad you still have a little room in your heart for the Texas Rangers. Pretty much agree with your NASCAR assessment. You now live in Miami?

I lived in West Palm Beach for 15 years. Had season Dolphin season tix for 6 years. My grandparents lived in Miami for years so as a kid I would visit a couple times every year, so thats my Miami connection I guess. I now live about 45-50 miles north of WPB - closer to Daytona now.
