I would trade out of the first if our board is wiped out. You might be able to get multiple picks that might include a first for next season if a team wants a certain player. This draft is deep at two positions we really need so trading a first for a 2nd/3rd round picks plus a 2026 1st would suit me fine. We would have two first round picks in a more talented player draft for next season.
If the Cowboys trade completely out of the 1st, they better get at least a 1st in 2026 a 2nd and 3rd this year.

That would potentially net 4 pretty good players that could fix holes quickly.

My #1 choice if we stay in the teens would be Kenneth Grant. I actually think we can justify picking him at our original slot of #11 or #12. That'd probably be the top of his draft range, but he looks like a 10 year NFL starter at a position we've struggled at forever.

Isiah Bond would be a great pickup in the teens too. He'd add explosion to an offense that has zero outside of CeeDee.

I would assume Harmon, Banks, Campbell, Pearce, Starke and Johnson are all gone in this scenario.

I’d be meh on Grant as he doesn’t give you pass rush but I love Barrons game.
Ok, then I go:
1. Grant
2. Banks
3. Simmons
Trenches first.

My favorite trade back would be to get Mike Green and use the second on Omarion Hampton and the two thirds on Jay Higgins Iowa lb and Dontay Corleone Cincinnati dl.
I'm digging this. I didn't even know Corleone was going back to school, but this is still solid.

I think Green could end up being a viable candidate without a trade down. Depends on the testing, but I could see a Demarcus Ware-type rise for Green into the top of the first round.

If we trade down a bit, I like the idea of going after the top rated prospect at a position that isn't already picked clean of its top prospect--EG. TE, S, LB. They may be lower valued positions, but would still improve the team, especially if we can get the best one available

He’s so good…wouldn’t surprise me if he continues to rise.

I like Egbuka but he was never the no 1 option at OSU,even a freshman is now their go to guy.is a no 2 WR really worth a first RD pick?

Let’s say we’re picking closer to 15 than 10 and our board gets wiped. Seeing as we’ll likely be lifeless in FA I wouldn’t be opposed to trading down to the late teens and adding a 3rd + 5th. We could then use one of our multiple 5ths to get back into the 4th. Who are your favorite options?

Jihaad Campbell / LBr - clear cut LB1 IMO. MLB prospect with prototypical size / speed for the positions plus the smart to be the leader of the defense. Top 25ish player in the class and would give us a great young tandem with Marist for the future at a massive position of need.

Emeka Egbuka / WR - one of the safest and high floor players in the draft. I don’t think he’s overly twitchy and has a ton of wiggle but do think he’ll run in the 4.4s. Excellent route runner, blocker and ton of experience in big games.

Benjamin Morris / CB - this is 100% dependent on the medicals but if there are zero concerns he’s a 1st round CB. Good size, length, athleticism and nose for the ball.

Mike Green / DE - yup…DE from Marshall. He’s a certified dude. Led the NCAA in sacks and didn’t skip a beat against his toughest competition in OSU and VT. Burst, bend and natural finisher. Also has strong hands and some pop against the run for his size.

***I purposely didn’t put DTs on here as I’d bet a large amount of money a stud will be available with our 2nd round pick and think we should take advantage of that to maximize value***
good list. i like it. "would give us a great young tandem with Marist" really bummed me out though. :(

Bond has done nothing in college to support this opinion

He might continue to rise where he's not a trade down guy but Walter Nolen would be my target going back.

If we end up at 11 or 12 there's a solid chance one of Tet McMillan, Mason Graham, Kelvin Banks or Will Howard is there and I wouldn't want to lose out on any of those if they make it to us.

I honesty have no idea what to think of Bond…watched every target from 23’ and he looked like a legit 1st round WR that fits the mold of exactly what we need.

This years it’s like Ewers isn’t even looking his way…not sure what’s going on there?

That makes him such a great pick for the Cowboys. CeeDee will always be the number 1 in Dallas. Edbuka understands how to play off of being the secondary receiver. The kid does everything well. The learning curve won’t be steep with him.

Mostly agree, he might be the best plug and play day 1 rookie in the entire draft....My only issue with Egbuka is he really seems like a primary slot guy and the Cowboys really need someone who can play outside the numbers. If they are willing to double down and get an outside WR in free agency, even if a marginal one I would be all for this. If not I'd be a bigger fan of targeting a different WR early. Maybe Tolbert has another step he can take his game, but I just dont love taking that gamble.

He is not even in the top 100 in any statistical category... most overhyped receiver in years
