He is not even in the top 100 in any statistical category... most overhyped receiver in years
A lot more to evaluating prospects than just the numbers. A lot of context behind why or why not someone is producing.

Normally that can be true but when you do not do anything your whole career then more than likely he is just a jag. At most a 6th or 7th round flyer pick

He would’ve had over 1000 yards in 23’ at Bama if Milroe wasn’t so erratic.

His 23’ tape was 1st round worthy.

You can say that about a lot of receivers in college. Blaming the qb for your poor numbers is not going to work. He was not in top 100 that year either

Maybe, maybe not…but teams draft based off of what they think a player can do not what they’ve done.

There are dudes drafted in the top 50 that don’t have big stats.

Mostly agree, he might be the best plug and play day 1 rookie in the entire draft....My only issue with Egbuka is he really seems like a primary slot guy and the Cowboys really need someone who can play outside the numbers. If they are willing to double down and get an outside WR in free agency, even if a marginal one I would be all for this. If not I'd be a bigger fan of targeting a different WR early. Maybe Tolbert has another step he can take his game, but I just dont love taking that gamble.
Egbuka’s whole college career he has played with the best receivers room in college football. He had to be the slot because he was the best equipped to do so. This recievers class stinks. I have been watching highlights of one of the board’s favorites (Burden III) and Tolbert highlights look better. I would stay away from receivers all together.

It’s hard in a regular year…predicting who goes after like the 12th pick in this draft is going to be impossible. I’m sure some things will clear up after the combine, but right now I feel like there’s about 50 guys that could go between 13-32.

Name 1 receiver that was not in top 100 stats wise

Not directed to me…but Ladd McConkey.
Never put up big numbers at Georgia but was drafted on traits and projection. Paid off huge for the Chargers in year 1
