The 1989 game. That was the season that separated the real fans from the wannabes. I was the only kid in school who proudly wore his Cowboys jacket to school as Dallas set forth on the rebuild. I had a close friend who was a Commanders fan and he was insufferable that year - until the Paul Palmer game anyway. He avoided me at school that Monday.

Yeah it was a pretty miserable year. But it was the first year of the rebuild, and Aikman's first win too!

The low point came at Dallas, a 32-13 loss in which George was sacked five times, including once by defensive end Ebenezer Ekuban, who dragged him around the Texas Stadium turf. The Commanders' offensive line did nothing -- and the play remains controversial to this day.

Still waiting for a video of this to re-surface

The only fight I ever had with my best friend was our senior year of HS. He was a big Commanders fan and kept ******* with me after they beat us. I cracked the back of his head open in the ag shop. We got drunk that night! Lol

A couple of mine are the Monday nighter when Emmitt drank the supplement before the game and threw up at halftime and couldn't play anymore. This was after having some remarkable runs.
Also the one where we threw a hail mary to harper before halftime and I believe there was an onsides kick as well. Jimmy Johnson really knew how to take down the big gorilla at the time

these are the 91 games. two of my favorites as well

For me there is no question. January 31, 1988, SB XXII. I was entering my last semester of college. I had paid, for every cent of my education up til then. My dad always offered to pay, but I was too proud. ,I saved up all through HS, moved away from home my freshman year, came home the next 2 1/2 years and commuted to school while working two jobs to pay for it. My last semester, I gave in and let my dad pay so I could go away again. Then SB XXII, I bought a "Pot" number and won $7,500! I drove home the next weekend and gave it all to my dad. Graduated college with ZERO debt to anyone. I was so proud that I didn't take a penney from my parents that I didn't feel guilty when they paid my down payment on my first house a few weeks later or when they paid for my wedding a couple of years later! Lol

1979 final game of regular season which was, for all intents and purposes a playoff game, fell way behind, came back, fell way behind came back again. One of Staubachs best games, and the final win of his career. Hard to argue for a Cowboy game that any other "Commander" game is better than this one.

Im just noticing now this is posted just above me, but that calls it "a comeback" it was double comebacks really

1983 season opener. Were down at the half 23-3. Came back to win 31-30. One of Danny White’s finest games in my opinion.

This was an AMAZING game I remember vividly. Danny White bombs away! For a kid growing up in Silver Spring, MD ..best rivalry in all of sports. We're not at the height of the animosity of this rivalry but it still gives me chills. Lots of historic games and HOF'ers throughout. Nothing could top Madden Summaral on a Sunday afternoon. There was a point as a kid where I'd be decked out in a TD shirt, Cowboys wristbands and headband just to watch the game in my living room.

All the classics have been mentioned. Hard to argue the 1991 RFK..game beating the 11-0 Skins. Partly becsuse I was there but also it was a coming of age game ushering in a dynasty. Aikman got hurt and Buerline continued to torch them. Irvin ate Greens lunch all game and Emmitt had his typical 100 yards. I remember a sweet Emmitt draw for about a 20 yard TD. Harper break out game. Changing of the guard was brewing even though the skins went on to win it all that year.
