Id also like to nominate the 2004 game where testaverde hit copper on fourth down then crayton for the long hail mary td. It was cold that day and the skins fans were really annoying. there was a guy running up and down the stairs with the washington flag and then testaverde hit crayton and he left!!!

also the 07 game that ended when newman picked off jason campbell to secure the win, romo and owens went nuts. One of the great atmospheres at the stadium.

You can watch the recap made of the game here! I loved this game.

One of Romo's better games. 4 TD's all to Owens.

Outstanding editing. That '07 team was fun. Criminal that we didn't go further. I love the play where drew a matchup with Owens running down the seam vs Fletcher. Sweet play.

That wasn't RFK, that was FedEx field.

They really lost a certain edge moving out of the heart of the city all the way out to Landover, MD. Just not the same. RFK used to ROCK... taking the subway to the game. The 1983 "We Want Dallas" NFC championship... they had that stadium was literally ROCKING... as in stands moving. I hate the skins but love the energy of the rivalry.

Yeah but traffic was horrible. I lived over there less than a mile away off of Minnesota Ave.

Great job on this one. I forgot about this Crayton game. What a toss by Vinny. So many memories. How about young Romo running around on the sidelines. Parcells with all his damn Jet imports. Lol... Jason Witten running the SAME PATTERNS he ran last week some 14 years later.

Definitely not a classic but some of the sweetest moments came when one or both teams were bad. How about Quincy Carters bomb to Rocket to steal a victory. I think this game was 7-6 or something crazy like that.

1983 season opener. Were down at the half 23-3. Came back to win 31-30. One of Danny White’s finest games in my opinion.
I always thought that this was one of the most underrated great Cowboys-Commanders games. Maybe because many fans went to bed after the Skins went up 23-3. It was on Monday Night Football and I just remember going to work the next day and couldn't find anyone that watched the second half.

Feel sorry for anyone who didn't watch. Epic comeback.

Couldn't find footage from 1985 but I remember the Joe Theisman "birthday game".. throwing 4 picks in a 44-14 *** kicking. I had this game on Beta and kept watching it. Feeding frenzy with sacks.

"Commanders quarterback Joe Theismann threw four interceptions in an embarrassing 44-14 loss to the Cowboys in 1985 at Texas Stadium on his 36th birthday and had to sit on the bench and listen to 62,292 Cowboys fans serenade him with a humiliating rendition of Happy Birthday. It was Theismann's last game at Texas Stadium. He retired after the season."

Loved the 1990 thanksgiving game. Watched it with a room full of Commanders fans. I sat two feet from the tv and still couldn't hear the announcers because of all the trash talking. The young triplets put on a show. That was a special day. It was also my mom's last thanksgiving.

Great game... If memory serves, I believe this was Emmitt's rookie year and he had an epic break away run where he didn't really out run Darrell Green but hit him with a sweet hesitation move that made it look like he out ran him. For a "slower" RB Emmitt's quickness was unreal especially watching him live. He had so many break away runs. Such great vision. This one was definitely a classic.

All the classic games, 74 Longley game, 79 Staubach comeback, 91 hail Mary.

But the 83 comeback was amazing, against the defending champs, Tony Hill was really good and he played to his potential that day.

The 1990 thanksgiving game was Emmitts coming out party, after that game you knew Jimmy was building something.

Aikman to Rocket. One hell of a comeback at RFK in OT.

I watched this game with two other Dallas fans AT Joe Theisman’s sports bar in the Arlington VA area. Hearing crap all game and when Rocket took it to the house in OT you could hear a pin drop. My buddy stood up and yelled “ you guys can’t buy a win, the skins suck, you people suck and Joe blanking theisman sucks too!” and we walked out as they sat there all teary eyed in disbelief...it was a touching moment of sportsmanship....

Every Cowboys victory over the Foreskins is a favorite, they are all great but my absolute most favorite Washington game was Super Bowl XVIII. I was little and really remember the game well. I had seen other Super Bowls but that one stood out in my memory I think because of all the razzing i had received during the year as a Cowboys fan in Virginia. Then to see them get their tails kicked all over the field on the biggest stage was amazing. I've always sort of liked the Raiders as my #2 team because of that game. Marcus Allen's run...Madden/Summerall, etc. It was a good one. A lot of Commanders fans I know today still say that one was one of the hardest because they fully expected to win it going in.
