Favre Haters: He's Coming Back

I'm glad Favre is coming back.

It means one less team to compete with in the NFC.

I don't mind Favre but I don't want to hear all the groveling over him as there will be all over again. Enough already, how many possible last games can the media pitch, sheesh.

In case you missed it, Dallas finished at 9-7 and lost 4 of their last 5 while Green Bay finished 8-8 and won their last 4 games.A case could be made perhaps the Packers feel the same way about the Cowboys.

^we still made the playoff's though - if it wasn't for a terrible mistake then we would have been through to the scond round so i don't think anyone will take us lightly next season, we will have a more experienced QB in romo and a fully healthy T.O.

I'm sure John Madden is throwing a party.

What Favre "haters"? This ain't the Bears board.

Not a Favre hater, I think he is first ballot HOF......that said, I think he is probably one of the most overhyped QBs in the history of the NFL.

Romo gets to compete against his idol next year. Oh hell ya! The two shall combine for 10 TDs and 8 picks.
:lmao:

"if he can get his flabby arse through a game without puking"

or getting injured.

If Romo can become half the QB that Favre has been we'd be in great shape.

I really don't get all the Favre hatred. Sure, the media kisses up to him like crazy but he's a great throwback kind of player.

People say "oh he throws so many Ints" -- 3.3% of his attempts - Of the other top 5 attempt leaders, Marino was 3.0, Elway 3.1, Moon 3.4, and Bledsoe 3.1. Comparing to other "greats" Tarkenton was 4.1%, Fouts 4.3%, Montana 2.6, Unitas 4.9%, and Aikman 3.0%.

Some of those guys -- notably Troy and Montana, spent a hell of a lot of time not throwing the ball at all because they were injured. Favre hasn't missed a game since..... wait for it ....1992. Nineteen freaking ninety two. That's 14 straight 16 game seasons. Had Troy or Joe played through injury, you'd likely see their INTs creap up as well.

I am so happy he is coming back.. Now I get to see him in person...love it

Somewhere Vinny Testaverde is celebrating that he will lose his INT record to someone who will beat it in less time.

I just called a friend who is a Packers fan. Next season Green Bay comes to Dallas. I told him we should go to that game. I have to get to Texas Stadium before it closes. My Grandpa played for the Packers. He'd have loved Favre.

Enjoy the game, Hos.

I will never respect a QB who made his name in the West Coast Offense at the same level I respect those who were great outside of it.

A producing WCO QB will always have an asterisk next to their name IMO.

Put him on the Eagles and they win the Super Bowl.

that actually would prove he can still play. they should just swop Qb's straight up or throw in a 1st..
