One of Favres biggest fans is ESPN's Colin Cowherd. I listen to him at work and the guy makes me want to puke but anyways, he started listing the starting NFL QB's and naming the one's he would take over Favre.

His list consisted of:

Manning
Brady
McNabb

Seriously, he made a point to call out Favre or Romo.....

Anyone agree?

Well he's absolute idiot so I'm going to rank the best QBs in football off the top of my head.

Brady
Manning
Brees
Big Ben (he has 2 rings but I think he's overrated)
Romo
Cutler
Ryan
Palmer
Rivers
E. Manning
Warner
Flaco
McNabb
Favre
Cassell
Schaub
Rodgers

The fact that he has included McNabb on that list of top 3, crushes any credibility from the start.

I think at this point Farve is in the bottom half of all starting QB's in the NFL.

Favre looked done to me at the end of the season. Maybe the surgery makes him serviceable.

Did you see him at the beginning of the season though? He was awesome.

In a run 1st offense like Minny he will be dangerous.

I agree Peterson and that O-Line will make him dangerous and will make the run game open up too.

He was awful after he injured his arm.

When the Jets were 9-3, he wasn't awful at all.

He was hot in Sept, struggled in Oct, had a brilliant 3 game run in Nov and collapsed due to injuries/age whatever in dec.

He threw at least 1 pick in 13 of 16 games last yr. He had a 3 game run in weeks 10-12 where his QB rating was over 100. The 4 games prior to that it was no higher than 76. The last 5 games of the season he never had anything higher than 61.4

Injury or no injury 22 picks and nearly 30 turnovers is horrendous. Did the injury effect his ability to read defenses too?

The excuse making for this clown never ceases. I'm sure this yr it will always be someone elses's fault too.

22 picks, 2 lost fumbles = 24 turnovers for Favre

In 13 games, Romo had 14 picks and 7 lost fumbles for 21 turnovers

Those numbers are very comparible.

Farve always gets credit for "threading the needle" on a great play, but seems to get a free pass on his INTs.

Favre makes the Vikings an instant contender. Defenses will have to respect the pass as well as the Vikes' running game now. Favre has the ability to bring the Vikes from behind to win, which was less of a possibility before he was signed. He can help them win the big games in the playoffs. On the other hand, he could just as easily cost the Vikes the game in the playoffs with a boneheaded INT, as he is so prone to throw.
