Favre or Romo

Favre...Stick a fork in Him. he dosent even have that rocket arm anymore. ofcourse I would take Romo over Him. Favre is in the bottom half of starting Qb's.

Well he's absolute idiot so I'm going to rank the best QBs in football off the top of my head.

Brady
Manning
Brees
Big Ben (he has 2 rings but I think he's overrated)
Romo
Cutler
Ryan
Palmer
Rivers
E. Manning
Warner
Flaco
McNabb
Favre
Cassell
Schaub
Rodgers

I think that list is about as accurate as you can get..

not really...he's washed up and makes a ton of mistakes

but you keep cheering the drama queen on.

I agree with you.

You call Cowherd an idiot but you rank Roethlisberger ahead of Romo, Ryan, Rivers, McNabb, and Favre?

LOL.

You're a tard. He's won 2 rings, I personally think he's very overrated and is in a very good situation - but if I put him below any of those guys and people with brains would call me stupid. Wouldn't want that.

So not only is Cowherd an idiot but I'm some word that closely resembles a tasty dessert.

Are we rating quarterbacks on skill or rings? By your list, save for Brees, I'm guessing rings because there is no way talent wise Roethlisberger is better than all of those you listed as beneath him.

Then you go on to admit that you think he's overrated but for fear of not conforming to the rest of the world, you decided to produce a list that I can now only view as a complete and total copout, not to mention a lack of personal courage and intestinal fortitude. For shame, since you carry the name Apollo Creed - you're certainly not living up to his character.

Farve always gets credit for "threading the needle" on a great play, but seems to get a free pass on his INTs.

that part we agree on

Favre makes the Vikings an instant contender. Defenses will have to respect the pass as well as the Vikes' running game now.

This I dont agree on. They might initially, but once he shows he doesnt have the arm strength or the accuracy he had, they'll go back to loading up the LOS. And if they blitz him, he's really a sitting duck at this stage of his career too.

Favre has the ability to bring the Vikes from behind to win, which was less of a possibility before he was signed. He can help them win the big games in the playoffs. On the other hand, he could just as easily cost the Vikes the game in the playoffs with a boneheaded INT, as he is so prone to throw

I dont see him getting them anywhere. rarely do 39 yd old QB's have any sort of positive impact. I'm sure there's a case or two here and there, but it isnt the norm. Then when you factor in his propensity for boneheaded mistakes, I am even less worried.

I would love to say Favre over Romo but just cant. At least with Favre you will never get the "Aw shucks its just a game, if this is the worst thing to ever happen to me..." line. But I think with the line we have Favre would be up a creek here.

First off, Favre isnt without his own problems. The guy is a freaking attention ***** drama queen.

Secondly, from just a pure talent standpoint there isnt much of a comparison now either. Romo is a far better player at this point in their careers, and it isnt even remotely close.

He was in a run 1st offense last yr too. He was awful.
Tell me you didn't just compare Minnesota's running game to the Jets'?
FAIL

I didnt say one was worse or better, I said he was in a run first offense.

Yeah man, but Jones isn't scaring defenses....
A defense has to put 7-9 people in the box when they see "All Day".
Favre will have it a lot easier in Minnesota.
As soon as they load up the box, change play to intermediate pass and burn them.

Except he'll throw it to another teams defensive player.

With Favre's picks and AD's fumbling, it should make for an interesting offensive season.

While he has declined A LOT, he's still more capable than any other QB in the Vikes roster.

It's not like this is a downgrade......

Frerotte and Jackson combined had a higher QB rating than Favre did last yr.

Seriously people, he's 39. He looked done at the end of the 2007 playoffs and looked done almost all of last yr. He isnt going to amazingly un-age himself 5-10 yrs.

I'm sure we'll see the same b/s act again next offseason though, and a bunch of you will buy into it hook, line and sinker again.

Favre looked done to me at the end of the season. Maybe the surgery makes him serviceable.

Adrian Peterson and a very good Defense makes him serviceable. Or any other QB to think about it. Except Brad Johnson.

No, you won't because the media, like yourself, won't take that quote completely out of context and run with it as the definition of a lack of caring on Romo's part.

Disgusting.

Well, TODAY I would take Cassell and Rodgers over Favre too... But yeah, Im there with you on that list.

PS: I put Warner on my top 5 list too, but thats me.

Farve playing indoors wont have anything to do with it.... it so easy to complete passes in Giant Stadium. Yeah Vikes should stay with Sage!
