According to multiple Twitter posts.

Apparently, three Vikings (Jared Allen, Hutchinson and Longwell) went to Mississippi to talk him into coming back and they're bringing him with them.

Heard that earlier about the players going down. Has there been a bigger drama queen in the history of sport?

If this is real, it is such a ****ing joke. Is Favre trying to script out a movie or something? Buddies from his team come talk him into playing again? ****ing ridiculous.

That whole franchise has stooped to a new level of pathetic. The Vikings brass and coach have been grovelling and begging him, and now there were players flying out there to kiss his butt. It's disgusting.

Hopefully their flight path takes them through the Burmuda Triangle.

I guess Her Highness The Lady Farve was just waiting for the peasants to come to the estate to escort her back to the Palace.

What a miserable spectacle. Again. On a human level I don't want to wish injury to a player........but may his season end...again...with a crucial interception on his last throw in his last game in a losing cause.

Has BSPN started the countdown ticker for when the plane is scheduled to arrive in Minn.?

Rachel__Nichols -- Off to Minnesota for me...up, up and away

hansonscott -- Brett Favre took off 2:20pm est. My source says he's going back to Minnesota. Stay with NFLN for more.

I used to really like Favre. Now, I have literally lost every ounce of respect I had for the guy to the point where I actually REALLY REALLY HATE HIM. I hope someone goes for his ankle first game.

* I mean that. I hope he suffers a career-ending injury.

Something tells me he is more than capable of making that happen.

Let's hope so.

This is vintage Favre ... and I've been saying this for a lot of years (back when he was still popular with a lot of people). This guy plays the media like nobody I've ever seen, and he does it in a subtle way, unlike Ochocinco and TO.

He needs attention badly. He loves the limelight. He craves attention.

Every rusher in the league will be going straight for his ankle. Sharper was the only one crazy enough to actually mention it though. :laugh2:

I used to like him a great deal.
Now, I would not say I hate him and I don't wish a career ending injury on him.
However he, and mostly the media coverage and players/team groveling over him have been so annoying that I wish he would just retire and stay retired.

LOL. I thought I read something about that. I will be jumping up and down with joy if it really happens.

Maybe this worked.

But, this doesn't seem like the best strategy to recruit Brett back. A much better strategy would be to ignore him and act like he's not coming. Its the simple technique of ignoring the pretty girl. The pretty girl is not used to being ignored, so you ignore her and then she goes after you.

I think the Vikings are not being smart about this. Even if they get him to say "yes" this way he may get to Minnesota and not be content. I could see him practicing for 3-4 days and then retiring again.

They are better off ignoring him. If they did, he's be playing by the 3rd game at the latest.
