No way he retires. He will do his normal song and dance, but he he is an attention ***** and he can't live without the competition. Childress will be stuck on his hump like a Lamprey this offseason until he feels "appreciated" and comes back.

What do you guys think? Is he coming back, or not?

I think this was it for him.

If so, Kudos to you Brett, you were one of the all time greats, and I will surely miss watching you play the game.

I think he returns next season. I think the physical skills are still there, the guy can still throw a frozen rope and I think he likes playing in Minn. I see Brett playing 1 more season.

Awww poor Brett.

Be glad you won't have to hear about him at the Super Bowl.

However it's gonna be an all off-season long talk about will he retire? Won't he?

He has got to be the most overrated "legend" of all time.
The Vikings were going to be at least an 11-5 team without him.

The Jets got eons better without him.

So did the Packers.

He won one Super Bowl in a down year for the perennial teams.

He lost another the following year despite being a 13 point favorite.

He has a losing playoff record as well and has thrown more picks than any quarterback ever.

He is NOT an all time great.

Jim Plunkett and Kenny Stabler and Phil Simms have more to show for their careers and they aren't in the HOF, i said it and i mean it.

He is Dave Krieg meets Jim MacMahon.

He should retire, but he will be a first ballot HoF because he was fun to watch and he does own just about all the QB records, yeah he has the negative ones too but he has most of the good ones. Consecutive games started is a big record.

Brett will makemhis plans known about the end of training camp. He will say several things between now and then, but he'll want everyone to wait with baited breath for his decision, eother way. As noted above, he will want his "face time".

Tom Jackson on ESPN after the game said he loved Favre because "he's never been scared to throw a pick", What other QB would get such Love?

Damn, imagine Tiny's reaction if you said that about Romo?

Favre's an all-time great, but he takes risks that hurt his teams badly when they have to play very good teams consecutively.

Brett's so good that the circus stuff can beat even the best teams some of the time, but the odds start to work against him when he takes too many of those chances against really good teams. He cost every player on the Minnesota team a shot at the Superbowl last night by making a stupid decision when it didn't need to be made; because he's able to get so many teams in that position to begin with, he doesn't take the flak he deserves for throwing it away when it matters.

But I enjoy watching it, so I'm not really complaining.

Oh hell this crap just never stops. The obsession for this guy is obnoxious. If we all just ignored him...he would go away.
