And you do?

You lose ALL credibility with the 2nd bolded part. Come on.

All I can see about that is... we saw that in real time for many years. So it is in fact, true.

if free lancing is trying to make a play when things break down than toot your horn because that is as far as it goes. he does the same thing every QB does when the plays goes bad. He improvises to make a play. He justhappend to be better at it than most. Like the Seattle playoff game where he "free lanced" after almost getting sacked and made an incredible underhanded pass to Donald Lee. You don't know the difference between free lancing and making a play when the original play goes bad. Favre has never free lanced. He ran the play called until something happened that made him improvise on the run. The same things that Romo did last year that you loved. Made a play when things go bad.

As far as FAvre goes did you see HIS quotes on the subject. NOw how about a retraction from you that it is HIM creating this nonsense.

From ProFootballtalk.com

That’s the last thing I’m thinking about,” Favre told Peter King of SI.com. “I have no idea where that came from, but it certainly didn’t come from me. I’m happy about my decision and I haven’t once said, ‘I wonder if I made the wrong decision.’ I know it’s the right one.’
“It’s crazy to me that I’m the guy they’re all talking about, and the story is out there everywhere, and I have nothing to do with it,” Favre said. “It’s not something I’m thinking about. It’s kind of funny. Even when I’m retired, they won’t let me stay retired.”

Oh man you are blinded by the cheese... Yes, of course, ALOT of QB's throw into TRIPLE coverage. I agree:rolleyes:

"when plays go bad" LMAO
when HE makes bad plays - sorry had to correct you.

What gets lost here is... I dont hate the guy, I think he is good... but you and others are on his jock like there is no tomorrow. Try an unbiased approach to your posting.

Favre is good, not great.
He plays YOU and the media.
He IS an attention *****. Go ahead and believe that he knows nothing about this story. Ok. No prob. ;)

Get ready.... another story soon to follow....

no the problem is you interpretting the things created by somebody else to the worse possible scenario regarding Favre. If you would have just relayed the story but your commentary that this is all FAvres doing because he is craving attention is absurd. I am sure there will be another story. But just like this one, it has nothing to do with him. Just like Barry Sanders was coming back year after year after year but Barry never created the story.

And BTW, Favre is a GREat QB. A good QB are the Danny Whites of the world. Good QBs don't lead the league in every statistical catergory there is. Great ones do however. :)

LMAO... I will give you Danny White. Only because Favre won the SB... otherwise not much difference.

Yep and every statistical category includes INT's sonny.

Danny White

92 starts, 239 ypg, 1.68 TDs per game, 1.43 INTs per game, 7.4 YPA

Brett Favre

253 starts, 244 ypg, 1.75 TDs per game, 1.13 INTs per game, 7.8 YPA

if only Danny White could have played longer. He'd have nabbed the TD and INT records for sure....until Favre broke them.

Does Rob just search the board for the word "Favre".... because at the slightest whisper of the iconic name of the legendary Green Bay hero, here comes Rob riding in to valiantly defend his hero's honor.

What are your thoughts on the draft Rob? Has there been any talks of Green Bay giving up 2 drafts to move up and take McFadden in Packer land?

He has his PM/email notifier set to send him an email when the words:

  • Favre
  • Green Bay
  • Packers
  • Cheese
are used in a thread at cowboyszone:laugh2:

don't flatter yourself. I enjoy the board for the different views on football as well as some of the off topic areas. I don't care if anybody crticizes Favre. I did it myself. But, I don't make up stuff up as fact like Mick has a habit of doing.

my thoughts on the draft are that Ted Thompson will take the BPA regardless of position. That could be QB, WR, Lb, DB, O-linemen or TE. Ted Thompson wouldnt give up two draft choices to move up for Reggie White, Favre, Jerry Rice, Elway, or any other great player or players. He just won't do it. And I think that is stupid on his part. I can't argue with the success he has had so far but I think this year without Favre we will all see if his way of operating is the right way. He ignores free agency like the plague.

It would not surprise me to see TT go after a WR in the first round which is arguably their deepest position.

You should post more Rob. Not just when Favre is the subject. I have a friend who is a Packers fan and we're always ribbing on each others teams, always a good time.

Don't fret too much, Thompson could be using the Commanders/Al Davis mentality of signing every high price free agent and trading away every draft pick strategy.

I don't know about you, but I'm thinking the Pack could use a RB who can catch to take some pressure off Rogers(sp?) by getting a good two back system running the ball and a receiving RB for those dump off passes, that could have him knowing he doesn't have to always make a throw. On the other hand, an Olineman could help by giving him more time to read defenses (but that depends on the quality of your line right now, I'm not too familiar with the Packers in that area.) Either way, I think you guys have to try and make the transition to Rogers a focal point of the draft.

Adam, I know that TT has been doing a lot of reviews on Felix Jones. I don't know if he would take him in the first tho. If Jonathan Stewart were to fall to 30 they might take him. The Packers don't have a lot of needs but they do have a lot of questions. Was Ryan Grant a one year wonder? Can their interior line improve. Would soldifying the defense benefit the offense more or should they load up on offense. Who is the backup QB going to be? What happens if Rodgers goes down.(Let's ask Mick that question?:) )
