I no longer care what Favre does. After his outspoken interference with Jevon Walker last year for him to hold the entire organization hostage the way he has in the height of hypocrisy. I have been a Favre fan for years but after his actions with this retirement situation I have grown completely disillusioned with him. He needs to retire before even John Madden turns on him.

Still undecided.

NOW I'm sick of him.

It was nice of him to have a press conference to let everyone know that he will a press conference down the road to either tell them more of what he told them today or he may announce what he plans to do... maybe tomorrow or maybe two months from now.....

He is only as important as the media lets him be.

Apparently, since the NFL Network carried the waste of time live, apparently he is pretty important in the grand scheme. Couple that with the extra Monday Night games, it is apparent the league is going to do it's best to milk this drama.

He won't just retire at a charity golf tournament. There will be a farewell parade, you can rest assured of that.

Almost makes me think that he did have a decision, but as time got closer to announce it, he began to doubt that decision.

I don't know. I thought that he would have more respect for the Packers as an organization NOT to leave them in limbo so they can get ready for the upcoming season.

i'm also tired of him after all this drama, he's washed up anyways and its time for him to retire. I know they had tons of injuries but still 29 ints are unacceptable for any QB and he's one of the few QB's that could get away with that. Also Favre or not its stupid that the Packers got 2 MNF games

Favre's legacy- one championship, a lot of picks in a lot of other playoff games, giving Mike Strahan the sack record, and pulling his team's chain until it hurts in 2006. Is that about it?

Favre still hasn't decided whether to play next season

TUNICA, Miss. -- Brett Favre, one of the NFL's great quarterbacks, is still unsure if he will play another year with the Green Bay Packers.

Favre

"No change. I don't know, once again," he said at a brief news conference Saturday from the site of his charity golf tournament. "I don't know why you guys wasted a trip down here. The Packers and I will make a decision at some point soon."

The 36-year-old Favre -- whose grit, durability and cannon arm have become his trademark -- is the NFL's only three-time MVP (1995-97).

"I know people are getting impatient," he said. "But enjoy baseball right now."

The Packers finished 4-12 last season, their first losing season since he joined the team in 1992. Asked about the makeup of the team, he said the Packers need to "make a statement," and he mentioned the acquisition of Reggie White before the 1993 season, which immediately upgraded that team.

Favre insisted he has not made up his mind, and he is not withholding his decision.

"No, I don't think that's fair to the Packers," he said. "If I knew one way or the other, for sure, and I wouldn't tell the Packers or not tell the media, that's unfair."

"I think the Packers have to go in a certain direction at some point," he added. "When I do know, I would tell them as soon as possible -- maybe within the next week. It has been a strain on the family as well."

Favre ranks second behind Dan Marino on the NFL's career list in touchdown passes (396), yards passing (53,615) and completions (4,678). He holds the NFL record for most consecutive starts for a quarterback with 221 (241 including the playoffs).

Favre has led the Packers to six division crowns, restoring success to one of the NFL's most famous franchises. The Packers won the 1997 Super Bowl in New Orleans, a 35-21 victory over New England, returning the Lombardi Trophy to Green Bay for the first time in 29 years.

Last season he threw a career-high 29 interceptions and failed to throw for more than 20 touchdowns for only the second time since 1993.

There are concerns about the team's offensive line, which struggled last season after the departure of stalwart guards Mike Wahle and Marco Rivera to free agency. Favre also wants to make sure the Packers are going to be competitive after a dreadful last season.

Speculation about Favre's future has become an annual rite of winter in Wisconsin. He has spoken of retirement in years past, only to return.

Through it all, there has been a string of family troubles. His father died in December 2003. His wife, Deanna, survived breast cancer and mourned the death of her brother in an all-terrain vehicle accident. Several members of Favre's family in Mississippi were displaced because of Hurricane Katrina.

Favre just needs to suck it up and play for another team.

I think what's going on here is he still wants to play, he knows he can still play, but he's not a young buck anymore and can't do it all. He needs a team with more support around him.

Its obvious IMO that Brett has some pull with Packers and the Media and is using it to push the team into a positive proactive direction(ala Cowboys) He wants to win.. I think he is done and have always been critical of him... but I think I see what he is doing...

There are no more free agents or trade prospects available to be proactive with. ;)

Unless you count LaVar Arrington and Ty Law.

I love Favre but calling a press conference to announce you are undecided? Enough is enough already. Either retire or don't. This is not fair to the Packers or the fans who support him so well. I can understand why those fans are getting p---ed off. Favre should announce a decision one way or the other or shut up. And, again, I love Favre and do not think he's washed up at all. He's one of my favorite players of all time and even though the Cowboys had a lot of wins against him, his presence always scared me to death in those games. He deserves respect but not by going out the way he is.
