Who cares about Brett Favre and his 200 plus INT's some of which are in the comedic Hall of Fame -not to mentio with all his overhype he only won 1 SB ...Nobdoy carees Brett if you stay or go - the NFL will more than survive - this is not MJ leaving the slop that NBA has now become.

well, the Packers aren't the victim imo either. They could just as well say, Brett, you know we love you but we think it's time to go in another direction. We don't want you back. He'll get over it. If his father were still alive, he'd tell Brett to make a freaking decision.

I love Favre but calling a press conference to announce you are undecided? Enough is enough already. Either retire or don't.

Its funny... I am waiting for the Reign Fire game to come on on the NFL network and I see the scroller at the bottom and it scrolls the following...

"BREAKING NEWS" - Green Bay Packers, Brett Favre holds press conference to say that he still hasnt made a decision... etc.... I am paraphrasing... but its just funny... kinda oxymoronic.... ie. "I ALWAYS NEVER do the same thing"? LOL

That record was practically in Daunte Culpepper's hands until he got hurt- he was well ahead of the pace. Personally I'm thinking Favre is trying to force the Pack to cut his overrated drama queen *** so he can hook up with a real team. As long as it isn't Dallas I really don't care.

he's comin back. this press conference was just for attention. i don't think its right that he's holding back the organization by preventing guys like Rodgers from playing. Seems like Green Bay is not progressing.

Hasn't this announcement been pushed back twice already?

Play some golf and wait for Canton to call Favre.

What a prima donna. How dare he call a press conference and not put Packer fans out of their misery. And to think he's treated like a God up there.

I think he should have retired a couple of years ago, and the indecision he has shown the last few days isn't doing anyone any good. The decision today, or lack thereof, certainly isn't endearing himself to his fans. But it's also pretty obvious how much the guy is struggling with this; it's like it seems he's incapable of making a decision right now.

I'm feeling bad for him. It has to be incredibly difficult to accept that it is time to go, especially when the pressure is coming from all sides.

i don't care, I almost hope he stays so he can continue to drag down the entire gaybay franchise and further ruin his status and lore there as well as delay any rebuilding they may do.
On the other hand, it would be worth a lot to me to not have to hear his name brought up on Monday Night Football 212 times even if he's not playing in the actual game.

i think he can still play, but he needs good people around him. he has just tried too hard lately. i don't blame for being pissed. the packers have 23 million dollars and haven't done **** in free agency. if you're someone who is thinking about coming back, that will bother you. i think the packers are trying to force him to retire.

that being said, this press conference to say he still hasn't decided was crap. he shouldn't be doing crap like this. the packers should give him a deadline, period. let us know by this day or we're going to release you. we need to know...its that simple

More like God's "troubled kid", though still loved all the same. People up here just know Brett is no saint and never has been. But, shh, the rest of the world is not supposed to know that. Oh heck, and that's one mafia hit on my head.. Tommorrow might be waking up in a cheese vat, lol.

But seriously, there's a buttload of stuff that's never made it out to the national media. Like his marital affair with a very public figure up here. The true degree of his addictions around the mid-90's- there's this one bar in Appleton he was quite a regular at.. and quite a regular overnight guest when the owner had to drag him to the back room because he had been drinking too much. The stories just go on and on. If this guy was a Cowboy, he would not be a national hero, he would be a national piraha because all of his dirty luggage would finally be dumped out for the whole world to see under the spotlight of the Star. It's really funny the "image" of him the Green Bay Packers have been allowed to get away with creating.
