We need an easier schedule. I like our chances there.

We either need a healthy Romo, or we need to become less dependent on Romo.. Don't feel real good about that one at the moment.

Well, we will have a last place schedule this year so that problem is taken care of.

As for Romo, he is getting plated so that will hopefully keep him healthy and at the same time, if we draft a QB in the top 5, we can start becoming less dependent on only Romo. If he goes down to injury again, we actually might have a QB with some talent to take over instead of the scrubs we marched out there last year.

If we go 4-12 again....time to clean house and bring in a fresh new coaching staff as well....not bashing the staff, just saying results matter at some point.

There's no way to know what might have happened. But Murray's not a special player, and letting him walk at that price was not a mistake.

The real loss was obviously Romo. And even Dunbar might have turned in a relative special season if he'd lasted more than three games.

LOL if he isnt special at all, how come he has so many cowboy and NFL records??
and by that logic he broke a 50 year old NFL record, without being special or any good, and so how did that record stand so long?
How come the great emmitt could not break it?

Single season and single game rush records of cowboys belong to a player who isnt any good or special lol.
Wow he must be a magician ??

We both know the answers to those questions. He had a special year. Running a lot of balls behind a special OL. He's a talented back, but he's not a special player, as I said.

Well ok, but I really dont get why fans disliked murray so much, and they loved emmit.

I have been watching some 92 games and Emmit wasnt really all that good, John madden just kept saying he was.
I think what the announcers say over and over programs the people watching, like how they kept saying
in 2014 our OL was the best line in football, and that murray fumbled too much.

Also thought it was funny and ironic that the RB many fans wanted over murray, was AP and then he fumbles in their playoff
game and it was bigger fumble than murray's was.

And let me add I was impressed with McF and the way he ran once he took over for Randle, but about 6 games later he looked wore
out, so I dont know if he can do a whole season. They really need to draft a david wilson type RB or get murray back.
And I know that wont happen :)
I think murray is glad chip is gone, and the denver HC did run the ball in denver, so maybe he makes use of murray and gives him 25 carry's a game.
No telling , and Murray did make a mistake leaving and going to philly.

The only issues I had with Murray were that he didn't secure the ball properly and that he went to a division rival for less money than was on the table elsewhere. Other than that, he was a really good back for us. He wasn't a special player, but he did everything well and was a great fit for what we wanted to do.

Exactly.

Could you imagine playing all year on a broken foot and then having to listen to some drunken fool tell you to stop making excuses and just deliver on the field? After all the delivering on the field you do when you foot doesn't happen to be, you know, broken? It'd make me want to hammer somebody, for sure.

And then you defend yourself and get 'why's he so sensitive?' He's not sensitive. You don't know what you're talking about and he's letting you know it. He's doing you a favor so next time you don't sound like such an ignorant jackass (and I'm talking about the rest of the internet here and *not* calling anybody out who may or may not have similar opinions here on CZ. I'm talking here about your general garden-variety internet crazies).

 and the very next post.

Dez we deal with the same thing during our everyday lives,,so stop making excuses..were your hands broken also....caught the ball..

He grew to be a special player for the Dallas Cowboys. The same team who drafted him.

The price was high for him. Personally, I wouldve paid it, knowing what we had behind him...and the fact that we werent going to get anybody else. It was a big big mistake, which added to a 4-12 result. 4-12. But I am convinced the actual record doesnt matter for the Dallas Cowboys. Winning has taken a back seat in its culture. #cowboyszone, to include Owners, coaches, scouts, managers, Rowdy, cheerleaders,,,,,,and even Fans..................dont "really" care. There is always an exuse or reason. So, "roll along with the status quo" ..........is the culture.

The mistake was beleiving in Randle. And many were scratching their heads over that one!!!
