How are we feeling about him so far. How much of an impact is he having on the team and the people in the front office? It seems like the players are buying in even before having a practice!

What kind of coach do you think he'll be, will he be tough yet fair, will he be a nice coach easy going or what? Has he mentioned anything in the news that really stood out to you?

The comments on being a physical team that meant a lot. Maybe him being in the background allowed him to see how our team was constructed under the former coach. He couldn't say or do much because it wasn't him team. Now it's his team, several people saw a lot in him to vouch for him to be our head coach. I'm intrigued, please give your thoughts

He might be great or he might be awful but he is heavily dependent on the FO supplying the roster.

Last year, SB winning coach Sirianni nor Reid could have done better with that roster.

As the season goes we'll see how he does with the offense, motivating players, clock management, etc, etc

There's going to be a learning curve

I’m an Orioles fan, I didn’t feel anything once we hired Brandon Hyde…didn’t even know what he was good at or why he here and what exactly he has his hands on

Fast forward years later the guy is amazing, kinda wish we’d do crap in the playoffs though

But that’s how I feel about Schottenheimer…maybe he’ll surprise me sooner than later

It’s Brain Schottenheimer.

He’s going to be the same thing he was at his 12 previous NFL/College jobs.

A failure.

If he wasn’t a nepo baby he’d be selling these easily fooled fans a car somewhere.
I believe that his expectations are pretty low from the media and the fans.....he almost has nowhere to go but up, lol

Orioles fans should know that it’s all that young talent coming up more than it’s Hyde.

Hyde regularly had the Orioles finishing 50+ games under .500 before that young talent came up.

Hyde could be fired today snd the Orioles will still be a contender this season.

Too early to really form an opinion. Its all nothing but talk this early so guys are going to be bought in when talking to the public. This is the easy part, its still the honeymoon phase. Lets see what happens when adversity hits this team. What happens when that first major bump in the road hits...that first major injury...that first guy frustrated because he isnt seeing his numbers....that first game where it feels like you just dont have answers for what the other team is doing early on...that first loss.

Its extremely easy to map out how things are going to be better, talk to the media in March, and get guys to buy in. The tough part of coaching is when things get tough and the pressure ramps up. That is how Schottenheimer will be judged.

My feeling on his ability to see his own strengths and weaknesses and build a staff is very good. Now lets see how he helps build a roster, coach and motivates the team, game prep, scheme build, game manage, clock manage etc. phase 1, is a good start. We'll see.

totally agree you made very good points especially motivating players, when those learning curves come, how will he motivate and get his coaches to motivate the players

Tbh I need actions and results, not words, so it’s gonna be awhile before I can offer my feelings.
for some that takes a few games we've won in a row and they're an instant believer, but when we start to lose it's somehow he's the worst ever, fans need to be consistent or just stay neutral!

Product of nepotism and Americas faulty obsession with rewarding failure for some people. While others have to work their tails off but yet always labeled as "they are not ready".

Things seem to be better in Dallas since the Shottenheimer hire.A great coaching staff has been hired and I like direction the team seems to be heading in .Dallas seems to quicker at making decisions as well, I am optimistic.
