How does McKeon fit in unless Schultz is a no go . Good week to have Ferguson announce his Cowboy career .
all 3 TES are beat up and not full speed, now sure whose active but Mckeon called up, im thinking a 1-2 are out this game.

McKeon can catch and run he’s been impressive in that regard not sure about his blocking skills

Hmmm. Telegraphing that the pick was a failure and the player should remake his body and try a new position. "Hype".

Hype to the degree wait for the unveiling of the new Fehoko . Personally what does he bring to the table Brandon Smith didn’t ?

Didn't Fehoko play last week? I think the Cowboys needed roster space and decided to stuff Fehoko on the IR until they can figure out if he will ever be an NFL receiver.
Check out the Pollard 57 yard td and look who is downfield with the clearing block.

@Pass2Run can't get a break with Fehoko. Every time he flashes he seems to have a setback.

There was a big play by Pollard vs the Rams with the "Big" skill position grouping.
WR Fehoko
WR Noah Brown
TE Ferguson
TE Hendershot

Now that Brown has shown legit receiving ability it's not a guarantee that the play is a run when he is on the field.

A clearing block on a 57 yard td is a contribution.
He also caught a slant on 4th down to get the first in the final drive I think against the Bengals. He's done well when given targets and snaps.

Honestly from what Fehoko has shown, suit up Tolbert anyway.
For him I think it’s a blessing
I don’t think he would have been kept when Washington comes back
Now he gets another camp to show he deserves a spot

Brown has been a very pleasant surprise as a reciever and he gets us some size and blocking ability
Nothing impressed me more than a guy who didn’t have the raw tools many do, but did everything he could to help the team and earn a shot

Amazing how these turds never play, but are always hurt.
Two ways to look at it.

From the Team perspective, if the guy isn't playing really well, but you see potential in him; you stash him on IR so that any small dings heal up and he has the best chance to contribute.

From the player perspective; if you think that you might get cut due that 3rd round guy over there and the FA signing both coming back, you can preserve your paycheck by going on IR.

I’ve been in the Davis cheer section since preseason . Never understood this Dowdle infatuation the team has . Davis can contribute . Man runs hard punishes the defender and I suspect if you hit him on a screen in the in open field he would open some eyes ( KM MM )
I don’t get the Dowdle love either. Seems like just a guy. Davis seemed to have more talent than Dowdle.

3rd rb doesn't have much of a chance to see any time on offense so they picked Dowdle because he's a more proven STs player - helps being a veteran.

Fehoko has speed and Smith doesn't. Fehoko was drafted for his speed. More speed, more upside.
Speed is an easy thing to quantify and measure. Other traits are harder. Simi is lacking something. Maybe lots of somethings.

Down roster players need to play special teams if they want to make the field on gameday. And if you're just not going to make the field on gameday, you're not making the roster unless other teams are gonna poach you from the PS.
Gotta be useful. If you ain't great at one thing, you need to be working at being good enough at multiple things to justify a game day roster spot. That's what opens the door to a career.
Noah Brown is the poster boy for Making Yourself Useful. How many WRs give a crap about blocking? But that got him on the field with the offense, *after* his special teams got him on the gameday roster.
Rico Gathers was the Anti Poster Boy. Had physical gifts to block, but always focused only on his downfield receiving skills, dreaming of being Randy Moss, and only mentioned blocking years into his time here. If he had focused on being a blocking TE first, he would have gotten opportunities on offense.
