Felix deserves some bashing no doubt.

But he is just 1 of 53.

This loss was a 53 man effort on the field and by the coaching staff.

Im not defending Felix. He could get cut tomorrow and I could care less.

But to direct all the ire at him is just ridiculous.

Felix should be cut tomorrow to make a statement to the team but you are correct when you say this was a 53 man effort and the blame goes to the leader of the 53 man team, the head coach. This team was completely unmotivated and basically quit in the second half.

Finally someone who can see the whole big picture.

Effectively true.

The loss isn't on Felix -- the entire team sucked today.

Having said that, it looks like Felix has no ability to contribute anything to this team at this point. Might be best to open up his spot on the roster.

Let's face it, if he weren't a former 1st round pick, he wouldn't have made it out of pre-season.

Its easier to blame Felix than it is to be realistic. People were on a lifetime high from last weeks game and rightfully so because it was a solid win but this team is still a work in progress. I think people felt we have arrived.

Felix isn't *the* problem, but he is *a* problem and isn't a solution to anything. He literally has no value as a player anymore. The one bit of value we can get from him is as a Curvin Richards type of message sent to the team as he is sent packing tomorrow morning. That won't happen, of course, but it should.

You are right. He is not the problem. He is one of 53.

But he could be the answer if Garrett would not allow him to dress for the next game and hold his feet to the fire for poor play and poor decisions.

Send a message that there is a new sheriff in town and everyone needs to fear for their jobs.

These guys need a kick in the pants.

If it's a statement your wanting to make, cut Witten and Dez. Both of them sucked, and that would really make a statement.

I think you are giving too much credit.... I wouldn't exactly quote what happened today as effort....

Sometimes I wish Garrett was a BA like Jim Harbaugh instead of a processing terd.

You think a "message" is going to make somebody like Witten play better? Witten was almost as bad as Felix today. Sometimes it's not all about "messages" or "discipline" or "will" and all this other garbage everybody falls in love to.

Some times your players just stink.

Felix is a poster child for what is wrong with this team. We hold on to players for too long here, we breed mediocrity. When he fumbled on the opening kickoff, it set the tone for the game. We gave them the ball inside of our own 20 and they proceeded to score. He should have been pulled out of the game and put on the bench and they should have stuck Harris back there, a player that gives 110% and protects the ball.

What is Felix showing in practice to allow him to return kickoffs? He is TERRIBLE and is the most mentally unstable player on our team. He isn't showing jack squat in practice but he was a 1st round draft pick and he has a known name, so he gets to play. This is a problem all the way at the top. This is JG's fault.

Like I said in another thread, he may not be cut, but he needs to be benched. He hasn't done anything positive in two games and looked just as bad in preseason. He isn't ready. Give the reps to Tanner or Dunbar.

I just pulled up the roster from two years ago. That whole "we hold on to players to long" isn't true around VR on JG's watch.

Felix is the board whooping boy......if he made a 99 yard TD game winning run they would talk about how he didnt get a TD earlier.

Do you agree that if once in a blue moon Witten has a bad game, that we still have one of the best TEs in the game?

There was some lack of hustle out there and if Garrett has something other than a Mangina, he will show his mettle and get this team fired up.

If he is the right guy as so many have claimed, then it is important he shows them he means business.

He is a symptom of the problem. Poor drafts. 08 draft is looking almost as bad as 09
