But he is just 1 of 53.
This loss was a 53 man effort on the field and by the coaching staff.
Im not defending Felix. He could get cut tomorrow and I could care less.
But to direct all the ire at him is just ridiculous.
What momentum? It was the opening kickoff :laugh2:Cowboys&LakersFan;4733445 said:Felix wasn't the only problem today, but you could argue he was the biggest, that fumble at the beginning of the game killed our momentum.

Ren;4733760 said:The fact that Felix 1 out of 53 is a problem, why keep guys like that around who contribute absolutely nothing?
He didn't cost us the game by him self last night but when is the last time he made a play that helped win a game? He's useless and he won't be here next year anyway so what exactly is the point of keeping him around?

TwoDeep3;4732611 said:You are right. He is not the problem. He is one of 53.
But he could be the answer if Garrett would not allow him to dress for the next game and hold his feet to the fire for poor play and poor decisions.
Send a message that there is a new sheriff in town and everyone needs to fear for their jobs.
These guys need a kick in the pants.

The Lions are a team on the rise, and Jones would be a great fit there. I bet Detroit's coaches would appreciate him more and run him more than 1 time in 2 games, too. I think Felix is pressing to make a play now due to barely touching the ball on offense. I think you saw that on the screen to end the game. A change of scenery would be very good for Felix's career now, and I bet Detroit would be very glad to have an experienced, very good, very explosive, very productive, complete running back (25 years old, with extremely low miles on his engine and a real career 5.2 YPC and 5.7 YPT).
However, Felix is currently stuck in his annual jail cell, and he's probably stuck in Dallas for the rest of the year. Obviously, not getting to run the football is hurting his career now. There is no loyalty in Dallas and how quickly some forget. I'm talking to you, Jason Garrett. Getting out of Dallas now, would be a huge blessing for Felix Jones and a huge gift. Detroit would be great. I heard that Detroit called Dallas multiple times while inquiring about Jones. Perhaps, Detroit will call again before the trade deadline. Perhaps, Jason Garrett will find his memory of Jones' play and show some class and respect and let Jones go to Detroit.
After reading some of the comments across the internet and on this board, some of Dallas' delusional fans got exactly what they deserved today.
A big fat L!
*Last December, Felix hung a 22-108/25-131 game on Tampa Bay. It was the best game by a single running back at Raymond James Stadium last season. Jones' 11th carry went for 38 yards, and Felix destroyed Tampa Bay out of single back sets and by running behind Tyron Smith. If Felix gets the football, against Tampa Bay (at home), he will shut many people up. However, that is highly unlikely to happen, so Jones is at a severe disadvantage.

jnday;4733792 said:Don't you think there is a reason why Felix is not getting the ball? Garrett has seen something to let him know that Felix is not running well. He sure stunk up kickoff returns. You are right in your thinking that Dallas needs to trade him. The only problem is that Felix has very little trade value. You can keep defending him all you want, but Felix has sealed his reputation as a bust. For a first round pick, he has had little impact.
Ren;4733794 said:Think you're missing the point, people are not down on Felix cause he fumbled and no one is blaming him for the loss. People are tired of Felix cause he's useless, the fumble and grass tackle is just more proof of that.
