As a Titan fan I wanted Felix Jones going into the draft. I think he's a great player and will do well.

I also personally know a Titan scout and although he obviously wouldn't tell me any inside info he did tell me that Felix Jones would be gone before the Titans picked leading me to believe the Titans had Felix Jones rated higher.

Having said that I wouldn't trade Chris Johnson after the first two weeks of training camp and this is no knock on Felix Jones.

Forget the 66yd run. You can take it away and I would feel the same. This guy has been awesome in camp so far. Like someone else posted he came pretty close to having two more long TDs in that Rams game and torched them in practices for a few days straight.

I guess all the Johnson hate comes from the fact the Cowboys picked Jones right before Johnson and no one wants to have passed on a potentially great player.

Chris Johnson is suppose to start against the Raiders this week and return kicks so we should get a better view.

I think Felix Jones is also a great prospect and he should do well.

You should probably do some research before you go making claims.

My view on CJ now is exactly as it was long before the draft.

Julius Jones looked like a future All Pro... once upon a time.

Do you know the difference between "a guess" and a claim?

Hey since youre on the track on insulting people based on their personal lives lets talk about your drinking problem, alcoholic. Why don't you go get roasted with your girlfriend and go for a joy ride or entertain us with your drunking ramblings again.

You don't know what youre talking about and are so interested in being right you couldnt see a train if it was coming straight at you. First of all he showed patience on that run setting up his blocks by staying on the hip of the right guard. He makes a cut and gets to the left shoulder of the center and absolutely explodes through the hole. The dlinemen is unable to deal with that explosion and CJ runs through his attempt to trip him up. He runs straight at the free safety at that point and 15 yards down field he makes another cut where he goes from the left flag to the right flag. He never loses a step.

You can use the words 'slight' or babble about straightline speed all you want but really all you are is a moron with a agenda. How about you tell us more about Amendola's 3-cone time or how Schmitt runs a 4.5 40.
:laugh2:

Makes a cut? Shows patience? Jesus, this is hilarious. He runs STRAIGHT FORWARD. Talk about making something out of nothing.

You'd like to discuss 3-cones? Okay, here's some for you.

Danny Amendola - 6.81
Owen Schmitt - 6.96
Wes Welker - 7.09
Deon Anderson - 7.27

I believe my comment was Schmitt would run circles around Deon Anderson. Well, turns out it's literally true. :D He could run circles around him.

Well, we all kinda knew that CJ was fast. You give him a wide open lane to run straight down the field with and he'll give you six points every time. The problem is, when the real games start (and you're not playing the Rams), holes like that are going to be few and far between.

Yes, they'll be a few and like I said, Johnson will give you a big play each and every time... but that's not going to be a consistent way to move the football.

I watched that highlight several times and it still pretty much looks like there was a hole, Johnson hit it, turned on the burners and ran straight down the field. Not much run vision needed there. CJ, IMO, loses his effectiveness when he has to run through any type of clutter.

Maybe I'm wrong... but we'll see soon enough.

BTW, pay attention to the ratio of highlight plays each player produced in their first game. I think that's going to be a pretty accurate representation of what you'll see during the season. I think Felix will produce about 3 or so big plays for every 1 speed play Johnson produces.

JMO, of course.

Felix looked bigger & stronger than I remember seeing him at Arkansas. I know he has a LONG ways to go, but he reminds me a little of a taller Emmitt. He sees the cutback very well. He's hard to bring down, and when he is tackled, he doesn't seem to absorb a lot of the blow. I also like his second effort.

Of course, what is so much fun to watch is his second gear. Man, when he turns it on this year, there are going to be a lot of DCs with lumps in their throats.

He is the player we all thought Julius would be. Felix the Cat is going to bring another dimension to an already frightening offense. I know Garrett's drooling already.

If you cant see him plant and change direction 15 yards downfield youre a moron. And my point was that youre 3 cone scores are meaningless in terms of who is having success on the field. Amendola fumbled again today btw.

Oh and perhaps you should try Anabuse.

That's funny why? Did I form my opinion all based on that one run? Did I even say that run was impressive?

In fact, Grant's run was the direct result of poor defensive play and, if I remember correctly, good play by their fullback. His actual run wasn't impressive at all. Not to mention I formed my opinion on him before that game.

You don't actually think these things through before you post them do you?

PS, have you failed out of community college yet?

dude, Ryan Grant is a one-cut runner, that's pretty much what CJ is too, that's the inference you can't grasp because your head is so far up your rear, that it's being clouded by **** particles

and I haven't failed out of community college yet, it doesn't take much more than a 3rd grade education to expose you on here though

oH this again compare felix to the greatest RB ever your in the wrong thread if you want to that. He doesn't remind me anything of emmitt except that he's a cowboy that's it.

what's funny is that you don't need to be Barry Sanders to be a successful RB, you don't even have to have that much wiggle

what you need is the vision to see the hole, the vision to see the field to know which cut to make, and the ability to make that cut w/o losing much speed, elusiveness is nice, but you can easily get past a tackler by keeping your balance and spinning off him, or cut and leave him grasping for air, you don't have to whirl like the Tazmanian Devil

he can't get over the fact that

CJ>>>Ray Rice

but Ray Rice can spin 10 times in the backfieldzzz!!!1

it's funny too how he's still dogging Deon Anderson, oh well, he can hang off Owen Schmitt's and :lmao: Oliver Hoyte's :lmao: all he wants...by himself, w/ his moonshine

that what I'm saying good acceleration and burst through the whole one move it all it takes for him to take it to the house. I mean what the point in trying to juke all 11 players on the field.

or picking and sliding in the backfield

coaches teach you to run North-South, not East-West, by the time you're done picking and sliding, "nope, hole not big enough *slide* still not big enough *slide*", the D has collapsed on you, I'm more concerned w/ who can see the hole and get upfield in a hurry

too many people are scarred because of Julius who pretty much is a straightline guy, but he just has no vision, so they want a guy who can do somersaults and backflips

speaking of Ray Rice how does he look in Baltimore......

I heard he's looked pretty good

Ray is a guy like we have in Tashard Choice, someone who can get yards in chunks, and will probably wind up having a nice career, but CJ and Felix could wind up to be special players, that's why they were unanimously ranked higher than Ray Rice

PS theo said that Rice will wind up having the best career of all the RBs in this draft
