Felix Jones Drawing Finished

My wife is trying to get me to sell some, so I am thinking about it. Only been drawing realism for about a year and a half. Nice to have a career as a firefighter and not have to be one of those starving artist don't see how they do it.

Well you can use your art as a side hobby, but for sure focus on a career as a firefighter. I used to do realism but its a tough field to put food on the table so i went the route of computer graphics. I loved drawing sports action shots but because of copyright laws it’s not safe to go mainstream. What also turned me off was other people would cheat as in tracing, copying and today some programs will convert a photo into a pencil drawing. That said, do it because you love it...not for any other reason. Nice work btw.

Hey FM, are you the guy I saw featured on a local news piece a few weeks ago?

Seems like it was right around Christmas or just after, on NBC 5 or CBS 11 early news?

If so, you should post that link.

I saw that news article also...not me. That guy works with airbrush. Does good work...think name is Jackson, ran across an old post on forum if you search.

Totally agree on the tracing thing irritates me also. Thats why I take 4 or 5 pics of my drawings in different stages because I have been accused like all artist at one time for tracing or not actually drawing them.

Actually been a firefighter 16 years now so yes I will keep that and my Salsa/Hot Sauce company as my main money maker. Doing this because it gives me a relaxing break, also wouldn't mind getting my name out there to be able to donate drawings to players charities for auctions and such.

WHAT!? Are you kidding?

Anyone who doesn't like that should be locked up in an asylum.

That is some seriously great talent. :D

Cool. Good luck with your stuff.

There was a Buccaneers fan who used to do prints and sell them. He disappeared. You should do some and post it in the Advertising Zone to sell your art. Number the prints and make a limited number of them.

Plus I draw these because I am a true Cowboy fan...cried many a tears in the last 30+ years especially loosing to the Steelers in the 70's. So you would at least be getting art from a lifetime fan...lol. Die hard Ranger, Stars and Mavs fan too!

Gotta do Ware. If you can, a nice action shot of him doing a move like the one where he stripped McNabb in the last game.

Seriously, do you even have to ask? THE BEUHLER

ok all joking aside......I think it would be great to do Brooking in one of his animated poses during the pregame speech

would love to draw brooking but all the detail pics are him with Atlanta...might have to just change the uniform

as far as Ware I found a few good large pics of him sacking McNabb.
So do I draw actual McNabb being tackled or should it just be Generic player?

I feel I know the answer...lol

That's really impressive. Almost looks like someone took a photograph with a pencil. I approach everything on the internet with skepticism, but if you're legitimate, you have some serious talent.

I sometimes work in color but colors are permanent so when you mess up its hard to recover.
Don't listen to him. Color? Great shading. I did an Irvin in pencil years ago. Charcoal and pencils are a great to work with.

How about combining your vocation with your avocation and drawing a Vikings player in flames. :shades:
