It's hard to imagine it being too serious given he at least attempted to play returning for only 1 play and was riding the bike after the injury.

He just seems to land awkwardly everytime he hits the turf.

Still early to say injury prone, but he needs to stay on the field.

If he doesnt learn how to block better it isnt going to matter, he wont see the field.

good call Doomsday I saw that too, Emmitt was a great running back and an even better blocker for the offense. Felix needs some tough coaching right about how and some strength conditioning I think he needs to spend a summer with Emmitt.

Has Felix lost a step due to the toe injury? Sure seems to me he is being caught from behind lately. Last year when he broke one he was gone angle or no angle. This year he seems to be getting stopped

the toe and his speed are fine...obviously you dont recall training camp when it was almost daily he was running one long for a td

he's taken some tremendous hits and he's a little dinged, thats all

He's getting tackled downfield but he's not getting "caught from behind". You have to watch the replay of the long runs and see that DBs have the angle on him.

To me he looks as fast and explosive as ever.

I think they only had him in there as a decoy. He was limping badly while going in motion.

I think he needs some of Bill Parcells tough coaching. He did it with Julius Jones his rookie year and that made him tougher although somewhat robotic.

Kudo's to the staff for not playing him after he got dinged.. Something minor could turn into something major... Felix will be fine.. If he misses a week or two bring up Ray Ray JR.. Our O line is playing outstanding run blocking.. Garrett keep taking the ball out of Tony's hand...

Was the talk of a knee brace ever substantiated?* Seemed like he had 2 non-contact injuries this year that put him on IR- Barber and Choice take far heavier hits than this guy does - fragile does seem to be an appropriate label until proven otherwise.

Too bad, because he is something else in the open field. Roy Williams although clearly just a possession receiver, deserves a game ball for his down-field blocking. He might be the best blocking receiver that we've had since Michael.

*Guess he tried to run with that brace on during that reverse play..

I said the same thing about Williams last night. He was money blocking downfield. He's a big reason the Cowboys are averaging almost 7 yards a carry. Obviously, almost everyone is blocking well for that to happen, but the comparison to Irvin in blocking is a good one.

Some of you don't understand what it's like to be running at 18-22mph full speed into someone.

Remember the time you were parallel parking and bumped into the car behind you at 1.5mph and you had a stiff neck the next morning? Yeah. And you had 3,000lbs of steel surrounding you. Run into a 250lb human being with a combined hit speed of oh, say, 35mph and come to a dead halt, then get plowed into turf. Yep. Thought so.

lmao he cant run that fast.

It is very obvious. They haven't mentioned the toe, but something is up. Nonetheless, he still takes your breath with each run.

Just said it was a strained left knee and he will be re-evaluated tomorrow. Doesn't sound too serious.

Did not look bad he was standing on the sideline as well as working on the stationary bike. He did come in for a couple of plays after the injury.

Its not uncommon for him to get caught from behind. He is more quick than fast, just go back and watch his college clips.

Yikes! Looks like someone else will need a knee brace. I wonder if that counts as a broken tackle...

Per Schefter's Twitter:

Adam_Schefter - This isn't good: Jerry Jones told Ed Werder that he is concerned about the severity of Cowboys running back Felix Jones' knee injury.

Adam_Schefter - Jones told Werder the RB was unable to loosen his left knee after suffering a knee strain and the feeling now is that he might need an MRI.

I love him: he's electric and a thoroughbreed. But sometimes thoroughbreeds are a bit fragile. I think the solution is simple: RUN OUT OF BOUNDS instead of getting tangled up on the sidelines. Franco harris, Emmit Smith and lots of RB's did it, so it isnt' gutless: it's smart. He'll learn: hopefully.

NOt good MR. Mom: not good at all.......fingers crossed.
