Or JJ his rookie year.
That's the fear, for sure.

My gut says it will be different, but that may be the Goat Curry I had earlier.

Yep you Arkansas fans already knew this. But he's officially the real deal and a great draft pick.

In limited preseason action he's got 9 carries for 49 yards(5.5 yards a carry) and 3 catches for 56 yards(about 18 yards a catch)

He's going to be a big play guy for us this year. This was a great, great, great draft pick. Other than that we suck and will be lucky to win a game. :lmao:

Since people like to pull the "It's just a preseason game" card when the team or a player plays badly, I guess it's only fair to do it when the team or a player plays good...

It's just a preseason game. NOTHING if official with Felix Jones. Let's see how he does when the real bullets are flying and teams are actually game planning him.

As long as we don't see Felix sporting huge guns next year, weighing 10 or so more pounds, and/or over coach him, he should continue with this progression. :)

W/ RB's you can tell right away. So far, hands, open field ability, acceleration, hes the perfect fit.

Chris Johnson looks good too

Are any of these RB's going to be busts?

JuJo getting bigger and stronger had absolutely ZERO negative effect on his game.

Defenses watched game film of him and figured him out. End of story.

Reminds me of the moaning and groaning people did when he only benched 8 reps.

The combine is nice and all but watch the games for goodness sakes.

LOL! Tell em! I did my research on youtube!

I'm not so sure about that. He seemed to get a bit top-heavy and that may have negatively affected his balance/shiftiness as a runner. He kept his straight-line speed (see his long TD run vs. New Orleans in 2006), but clearly lost much of his "wiggle".

My hypothesis was that Julius tried building his body into that of his older brother Thomas', which was a critical mistake since they are two very different RBs. Julius idolized Thomas and the two worked out together in the offseason.

My god some people are clueless.

JuJo got figured out and he wasn't a good enough RB to counter what defenses did to shut him down.

It's not rocket science. Plus, people majorly exhaggerate how much bigger JuJo got anyway. Seriously, he didn't go from 180 to 300.

RB's taking in the 1st-dmac,stewart,felix,CJ,mendenhall-all could have success in this league.

That's a pretty good analysis.

Julius had the measurables... just not the "vision" that an elite back needs.

This is correct. Plus he also lost his instincts and was clearly thinking way too much.

FeJo definitely has the skills, but time will tell whether he can make it a career instead of a one-year wonder.

Its preseason.

We dont know what Felix can do yet.

With that said. He is exciting to wathc... but it STILL preseason.

Its funny how some on here will "annoint" a player and "crucify" a player on a few preseason plays.

Funny stuff...:laugh2:

:shoot5: fejo?

He looks very good so far! Felix will give us a new dimension on offense, and he looks like an upgrade over Julius. I don't expect him to have a large impact on our offense because Owens & Witten + Barber will still get the football on the vast majority of the time. Felix's potential to give Romo&Co. great field position via the return game is the thing I am excited about with this guy.

If Felix isnt the starting RB then I will be upset. Barber is not a starter. He is a pounder, a RB that should see the ball about 1/3 of the time or in situations that are his strength. Not an everydown back... not even getting the majority of the carries.
