It was never in Jerry Jones or Wade Phillips draft philosophy that if Felix Jones would be drafted that he would only be used as a running back.DaBoys4Life;2264907 said:He had a return for a TD outside of that he hasn't had any back. Out side of Mendenhall every other rookie RB drafted in the 1st round.
*cough* bull *cough*DaBoys4Life;2264888 said:Yea he has had more impact than Mendenhall however the RB i really wanted was CJ and I don't think you could even compare Felix to what CJ has done in Tennessee
Had mendenhall not dropped i would still have wanted us to draft CJ

I found those in 3 minutes. Now you show me 5 where you clearly wanted Chris Johnson. Good luck with that.
Felix Jones is in such a different situation than CJ that you can't honestly compare the two. You put Jones on the Titans and he's likely their #1 weapon. Where's he at on Dallas' list? 5? 6? Jones is a weapon, but we have so many that we don't need to use him constantly. If the Titans had a back like Barber to carry the load, do you think CJ would've gotten as much of an opportunity? I guess I just don't understand how anyone could not be in love with what they have seen from Felix so far. For our team, I don't think there's a better fit.DaBoys4Life;2264911 said:yea and if he was weapon X like they were saying he would be used.

Ask Coach Phillips. I don't have a problem with how they are utilizing a player who has, to this point, been a solid first round draft pick. You're wanting him to go 'exotic', run around the field naked and outrun Mendenhall by 2000 yards as a running back ONLY.DaBoys4Life;2264923 said:I know this. Then explain Wade's reluctance to use Felix as a KR....him being used like Reggie bush.....yea its clearly showing.....

If we drafted his a compliment back then we did it to high. if we drafted him as a compliment back there was better RB's than him to draft Slaton and CJ come to mind. What are the cowboys expectations of him they already don't thing he's an every down starter. He isn't a good pass blocker everyone saying how the speed of the NFL will catch up to CJ however Felix gets a pass beccause he was in the SEC man please.

~refresher course~
1a Felix Jones RB arkansas- This is the most disappointing pick IMO and i feel as if Jerry dropped the ball. Not only was a better RB on the board at the time of this pick the highest rated player left on our board was still there. He has the biggest bust factor on him in this draft and we will quickly regret this pick its because of his lack of pass blocking ability him going down easily or his lack of big plays. - http://cowboyszone.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2060751&postcount=1

joseephuss;2264944 said:It depends on which situation you land. Put CJ in Dallas and he doesn't have the same numbers. Put Mendhenhall or Felix in Tennessee and their numbers will be different. The Titans have to use CJ. Dallas does not need to use Felix. At least not yet. When they do they still won't use him to the extent that the Titans use CJ. Flip both guys and the story would remain the same. I think all 3 running backs are good and will help their teams. I am also please with what Felix has done and been asked to do up to this point.
You're the one claiming Steve Slaton and Chris Johnson would be better complimentary backs to Marion Barber. You're in a very, very small minority with that opinion which Felix Jones, in very limited duty thus far as a running back, has proven otherwise.DaBoys4Life;2264975 said:In the very same thread on the next page.....guys that don't matter to you.
You are right. I clicked the wrong post for the link.DaBoys4Life;2264966 said:the first link isn't me.....
All of these are prior to the Draft. Ever since the Draft you have been whining that we passed on Mendenhall. Both were still on the board so don't tell me you still wanted CJ more or you'd mention him instead of Mendenhall. I was born at night, but not last night.http://cowboyszone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=113498&page=4
me wanting CJ is all in that thread....

I picked CJ in another mock O_O what a shocker

I show interest in CJ yet again. These a just threads I started I don't want to look through my post to try and find those....but the point still remains I was really high on CJ and didn't express the Mendenhall interested until he dropped to us
Honestly, some folks should stick to being a fan and not trying to be talent evaluators.Hostile;2264917 said:*cough* bull *cough*

I think you can safely replace "seems to be" with "is" in the bold part.Doomsday101;2264997 said:1 TD per game he is on pace for 16 on the season and we have yet to increase his role which I think will happen. The guy is a true weapon and will get his opportunities. This thread seems to be more about sour grapes than anything else.
