He had a return for a TD outside of that he hasn't had any back. Out side of Mendenhall every other rookie RB drafted in the 1st round.
It was never in Jerry Jones or Wade Phillips draft philosophy that if Felix Jones would be drafted that he would only be used as a running back.

Yea he has had more impact than Mendenhall however the RB i really wanted was CJ and I don't think you could even compare Felix to what CJ has done in Tennessee

Had mendenhall not dropped i would still have wanted us to draft CJ

I found those in 3 minutes. Now you show me 5 where you clearly wanted Chris Johnson. Good luck with that.

Felix will be utilized more as the year progresses and he gets his blitz pickups down. Your agenda against Felix is getting very old fast.

Wake up the season just stated it is a long way to go and right now this offense is moving the ball pretty much at will we are not being forced to throw rookies out there and live with their rawness and mistakes. Are you kidding me that you are going to make this an issue after 2 weeks? you have got kidding or else this is just another my guy did not get picked in the draft so I'm going to pout about this all year long.

Felix Jones is in such a different situation than CJ that you can't honestly compare the two. You put Jones on the Titans and he's likely their #1 weapon. Where's he at on Dallas' list? 5? 6? Jones is a weapon, but we have so many that we don't need to use him constantly. If the Titans had a back like Barber to carry the load, do you think CJ would've gotten as much of an opportunity? I guess I just don't understand how anyone could not be in love with what they have seen from Felix so far. For our team, I don't think there's a better fit.

It depends on which situation you land. Put CJ in Dallas and he doesn't have the same numbers. Put Mendhenhall or Felix in Tennessee and their numbers will be different. The Titans have to use CJ. Dallas does not need to use Felix. At least not yet. When they do they still won't use him to the extent that the Titans use CJ. Flip both guys and the story would remain the same. I think all 3 running backs are good and will help their teams. I am also please with what Felix has done and been asked to do up to this point.

Ask Coach Phillips. I don't have a problem with how they are utilizing a player who has, to this point, been a solid first round draft pick. You're wanting him to go 'exotic', run around the field naked and outrun Mendenhall by 2000 yards as a running back ONLY.

~refresher course~

1a Felix Jones RB arkansas- This is the most disappointing pick IMO and i feel as if Jerry dropped the ball. Not only was a better RB on the board at the time of this pick the highest rated player left on our board was still there. He has the biggest bust factor on him in this draft and we will quickly regret this pick its because of his lack of pass blocking ability him going down easily or his lack of big plays. - http://cowboyszone.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2060751&postcount=1

If we drafted his a compliment back then we did it to high. if we drafted him as a compliment back there was better RB's than him to draft Slaton and CJ come to mind. What are the cowboys expectations of him they already don't thing he's an every down starter. He isn't a good pass blocker everyone saying how the speed of the NFL will catch up to CJ however Felix gets a pass beccause he was in the SEC man please.

I think CJ forced his self into the starting line up with his speed and athletic ability. Lendale white was coming a 1,000 yard season also.

You're the one claiming Steve Slaton and Chris Johnson would be better complimentary backs to Marion Barber. You're in a very, very small minority with that opinion which Felix Jones, in very limited duty thus far as a running back, has proven otherwise.

Still, what does your additional comments later in the same thread have to do with anything? Again, you stated that Jones was a bust. How could a 'bust' have done the things which Jones has done thus far?

All of these are prior to the Draft. Ever since the Draft you have been whining that we passed on Mendenhall. Both were still on the board so don't tell me you still wanted CJ more or you'd mention him instead of Mendenhall. I was born at night, but not last night.

Oh, and I bet I can find a minimum of 12 more posts where you pimp Mendenhall over Jones and that I can do it in 10 minutes or less.

It is okay to admit when you are wrong and caught. It'll actually save you some face. Free advice.

1 TD per game he is on pace for 16 on the season and we have yet to increase his role which I think will happen. The guy is a true weapon and will get his opportunities. This thread seems to be more about sour grapes than anything else.

I think you can safely replace "seems to be" with "is" in the bold part.

Of course he did because Tennessee has a lack of weapons. They have White and oh I dunno, let's just say Bo Scaife. It makes sense that CJ is getting some touches. Felix would be getting more rushing attempts if he was with the Titans as well. Felix has few carries, but he is averaging just a hair better per rush(6.00 for Felix to 5.94 for CJ). CJ has scored 1 TD and Felix has scored 2. CJ does not return kicks.

The coaches did talk up Felix and the Dallas offense is doing so well that they don't have to force him into the game. That is a good thing and not a negative as you are trying to make it out to be. Even if CJ would have been the better pick and I am not arguing that point, if he was in Dallas he would probably not be used that much, either. Dallas has a lot of other weapons and doesn't need to rush their rookie running back whether that would have been Felix, CJ or Mendenhall.

i really wanted mendenhall, but am thrilled they went with felix jones instead. felix has the moves, quickness, and strength to be a legitimate pro-bowl rb.

mendenhall so far looks like crap. the guy has no lateral quickness and runs like ron dayne. not a recipe for success.

chris johnson though looks like what teams were expecting when reggie bush came out. he's a real difference maker with his speed, and has the vision to take advantage of it. haven't gotten to really watch him yet. and the titans oline opens up huge holes as well.
