Last reported he was on schedule and already running without limitations.
personally I was a little concerned when I heard the report initially, considering that it was March and running full steam that early...well, thats the conservative in my blood.

yeah well Garrett seems like the type of guy who would bring a knife to a gun fight. let's hope he uses his full arsenal of weapons next season.

I would prefer the conservative:) approach and limiting his carries and risk of injury until the dreaded month of December.

Choice proved to be a complete back, and with MB3 taking the majority of the pounding at the goal line and in short yardage, saving Felix could be the x-factor.

Our knife flies from the handle and hits the throat before the gun goes off.

Like James Coburn in "The Magnificent Seven"!

Or James Caan in "El Dorado".

i hope it does next year.

Our training staff are trying to figure out a way to re-injure him while rehabbing his injury.

Just get the ball to him. How in the hell are we going to get FJ, MB, TC, 2 TEs, and 3 WRs the ball enough?

I am always amazed watching the playoff and Super Bowl games of the Cowboys in the 90's. Aikman, Emmit ,Irvin, Novacek were just so efficient. there was an occasional deep ball but it was execution, execution, execution with that team. It was not flashy, it was not extravagant, it was just basic football. Tough Oline and running the ball and getting first downs.

I think that is why Garrett is so basic with his offense watching that offense succeed like it did. I think the problem with Garrett is though, that he does not have nearly the "feel" for playcalling that Norv did.

If he can develope that them everybody will see the ball plenty and we can be just as efficient. Garrett needs to go back and look at Tony's first couple of years and see how efficient the guy was with quick reads and getting rid of the ball quickly.

Those things (playcalling, quick reads, and execution) will be the secret to our success in 2009 IMO.

Couldn't agree more. We don't have that offense though. Not close. Timing offense and it worked because Aikman was probably the most accurate passer ever. Certainly accurate enough for that offense. And Michael could protect that position on the field by getting to it and shielding it and catching a ball that was a bullet, on him instantly with his seeing it very briefly. And we had a defense to give them the ball back and protect leads with an OL that could sustain drives by protecting Aikman and giving one of the greatest RBs enough blocking to be that guy.

This offense needs to do its own thing playing to its philosophy and strengths. Garrett has the tools and needs to learn how to use them. He has a lot of tools.

Michael was the guy that ultimately made that scheme work; Aikman was amazingly accurate, but you have to have the guy that knows how to be the only one that can catch that pass. Irvin consistently put himself in the best position to catch the ball and then do something after the catch. He needs to be coaching the receivers here, or at least assistant coaching; if they can get him out of his comfortable gig...

Well without "Mouth" it should be a lot more realistic to think the team can.

One, we are going to have to look at using either MB or TC in a fullback position -- not as a traditional lead blocking type but more like a Richie Anderson or Larry Centers. A 5-7 of plays designed to use one of those guys as a receiving option will help a little.

Two, can't be afraid to use FJ on kickoff returns.

Three, one of our WR is getting screwed.
