Felix coasted in a Cowboys uniform for several years and actually had a few moments of grandeur where he made some level of contribution to the team goals. That said, he was oft injured and should have been gone years before we finally jettisoned his sorry.. I will forever remember him as my dear glassman.

Fast forward to today. Many of us are still thinking Cole Beasley has no value with us. I call bull on that just as loudly as I did this time last year. He has clearly improved his game in a year and is fast becoming a favorite Romo target. He is also incredibly quick in space and regularly makes his defender look lost in coverage. Will he be on the final roster? I think Felix Jones can answer that question for you...

I see Cole not only making the roster but settling into a nice slot role for us this year. He'll put up some strong stats while playing that role in a part time capacity. Go ahead and book that.

I don't really disagree with any of that... but I'm not sure what Felix has to do with Beasley.

I like your point, but you could've picked someone better to make the analogy with.

I certainly can see Beasley making the team, but he will be the 5th man and likely will only see the field during Special Teams or if the unmentionable happens.

They both line up perfectly. Typecast as "oft injured" and, to this point, neither has done anything to help the Cowboys. Cole will change that perception. Felix wasn't capable of doing so. I'm a big time Cole supporter because I see the potential and find it funny how we always seem to maintain a double standard with the players. Some are perfectly good with having the standard three years to develop (which should be standard for all rooks) while others are considered incapable from day one. If a rookie isn't completely in outer space on an NFL field, he should be watched closely and allowed to develop under the three year rule. Danny Amendola agrees.

"Glassman" played through his injuries last year, while your new man-crush sat and watched.

Just sayin..

he also produced a combined 5,324 rushing, receiving, and kickoff return yards in 5 years, including 15 touchdowns.

the comparison is idiotic.

What do you want to compare? Toughness or stats?

In Felix's second season, his first with substantial carries, he put up a 5.9 ypc on 116 carries.

In Murray's rookie year, he put up 5.5 ypc on 165 carries.

In Felix's third season, 185 carries, 4.3 ypc.

Murray's second season, 161 carries, 4.1 ypc.

Murray's 6 TD's in 2 seasons also puts him right on the same pace as Felix was on of 15 TD's in 5 years..

Get it right people. It's a Beasley Glassman comparison not a Glassman Murray comparison.

If Felix somehow managed to last 3 years on our squad, I see no reason why Cole shouldn't be afforded the same opportunity.

As i just showed.. Felix was on the team because he produced when given the ball.. as im betting Cole will, too.

Felix lasted 3 years because he was a first round draft pick and produced his first couple of years. I hope Beasley succeeds.

1st Rd Draft pick vs undrafted player....That makes a huge difference. But seriously, dude is hanging on by a thread, he is the 5th WR. If we go 6 he makes the team, but his 5th spot is still up for grabs. I keep seeing people say this, but how is he quickly becoming a favorite target of Romo?
