They have healthy players that can play and Ferguson can heal. Schoonmaker is better that what the fans think. It wouldn't hurt to let him play for a game and give Luepke more targets too.
Respectfully, I don't agree...play your best when you can. Wins don't come easy.

If Ferguson needs to sit a week that's fine I can deal with that because I thought it was going to be much worse when I saw the replay and just for the record Schoonmaker sucks and will just be out there because he has too.
Schoonmaker doesn't suck.

He doesn’t suck. Yes he was overdrafted but if he was taken later people would call him a great backup.

He hasn’t gotten many targets with the emergence of Ferguson, but he can run block well and supposedly Mike wants to run the ball.

I absolutely thought Ferguson was gone for the year.
I'm real glad he's not seriously hurt. He started becoming one of my favorites last year. He gets out there and plays with intensity. Those kinds of players seem to come along every once in a while.

Speaking for myself, that sort of stuff usually feels much worse the next morning when you wake up.
Ok. The difference between these guys and us “normal” folks lol is they have a pro medical staff working on it probably next to constantly. If it’s not torn, should be good to go…even if he needs a week off.

Jason Ferguson needs to get inside one of those hyperbaric chambers that Terrell Owens used to use to greatly enhance the healing process on any injuries.

Or Fergy could use a cryogenic freezing chamber which specialists are using nowadays to help quickly reduce pain, swelling and inflammation from a sports injury while greatly improving the time needed to recover from a sports injury.

If he needs too, is the key phrase. We don't take a week of from the CZ if we sprain a thumb! Lol

Sounds like he wouldn't be 100% even if he wants to go. I'd sit him a week and make sure he's completely healthy.. too early in the year to push it.

I think he'll be fine...let him play. No one else on the depth chart can replace him. Schoonmaker is only a blocking TE and brings nothing in the passing game.

The Saints are pretty decent.

Kind of under the radar.
