Richard was never in contention to be the new start over guyton.
The LT starting role was/is Guyton to lose.

Cowboys invested a pricey first round pick on Guyton, and you think Asim was gonna compete with Guyton on this ?

In fact it has been much circulated that Richards prefers to play inside at OG, rather than outside at OT.

He was never given the chance to compete for the job as you are right, they invested a 1st rd pick on Guyton. However, at worst he was suppose to be the #3 Tackle, now he is buried in the depth chart. Yes, he can play Guard, but it appears the new staff wants power players inside, which he is not.

It doesn't bode well when Guyton, Smith and Steele are all out and he doesn't see the field until the 2nd half of a preseason game. I believe both Bass/Hoffman are ahead of him, along with several tackles. He may even be behind the Oregon rookie Tackle who has looked good last week. Right now, I do not see him on the team's final roster.

Winfrey is 290 pounds. To me he is pretty much a 3T only. We are stuck with Mazi at 1T unless we swing a trade. He can at lease stalemate. Toia plays with very poor gap discipline, and we cant really count on him for any real role right now. If you move on from Mazi, you need an incoming 1T. We don't have that on the roster right now

He reminds me of Golston. Not as tall but has really long arms. Golston need up as a starter last year at the Stong Side DE position with occasional snaps inside.

Sanders had no holes to run in. I saw the game on the Raves network. They where not impressed with Bebe or Booker.

As for backup QB.......I guess it's wide open and I don't mean that in a good way.

Paternity leave for Murray. He missed a few days of practice (Maybe a full week?).

I thought he would get a few preseason snaps. The other projected starting LBs have played in the ps games.

I could see that.

Watching Winfrey I thought he could be a strong 3T vs the run. He seemed to do a good job of getting leverage and moving with the line to the play.

i've only seen rookie Cornelius at RT. It doesn't bode well if Ricchards himself is not committed to playing OT,..if he is insistent on being committed to play inside at OG.

i've never personnally heard Asim say himself vocally that he wants to play OG,..but as mentioned, what does that say when Nat Thomas, in his first year here, playing LT , ahead of the more game expereinced Asim at that LT role.

He is buried on the depth chart and is behind the regular backups at both positions. Yes, he has on experience and can play either spot, but appears not good enough at either according to this staff.
