Remember when Scandrick was the beating child around here? The guy was straight garbage with a capital G. Look at him now, the best corner on our squad. Point being, it's hard to play corner in this league and we need to develop these guys and not jump ship so soon. Jones is going to struggle I guarantee you that, and so it patmon. I never thought Scanny was garbage, but definitely didn't expect him to develop into more than a slot corner.

Some teams are starting to use big WRs in the slot. It would be good to eventually have Jones in the slot when the slot WR is a guy like Julio Jones.

IIRC Jones did play some slot in the preseason.

He played some slot but you don't spend a 1st rounder on a slot corner. We have Scandrick for 4 more years. There's a few slot receivers in this league you have to worry about but it's still not worth a 1st rounder.

I don't think Scandrick was ever garbage. He made a huge leap but as long as he's been here he's always been one of our best corners.

I would love to go back and see those threads and comments about Scandrick. He improved year after year and always seemed to stay out of the shooting squad because Newman fell off a cliff, literally. .and Jenkins had so much potential and then just flat out sucked. Scandrick just kept on trucking and made leaps on his game. But Scandrick wasn't good early on, he was borderline.

He played some slot but you don't spend a 1st rounder on a slot corner. We have Scandrick for 4 more years. There's a few slot receivers in this league you have to worry about but it's still not worth a 1st rounder.

As I said, it would be good to have Jones in the slot against WRs like Julio Jones. That wouldn't make Jones a full time slot CB because Jones is not a full time slot WR.
