Dowdle out? Say it isn't so. Dude would be a 3rd stringer on a lotta teams. Not here though. Inept FO.

at this point, Vaughn can't be any worse than Pollard or Dwaddle

except in pass protection... he could get Dak killed. Oy this game will suck

Wow, Hankins will be sorely missed in this upcoming game.. The Lions RB's are very dangerous and explosive. Gibbs and Montgomery are used quite often in their passing game as well.

Pretty amazing how intentionally thin this team is at run making and run stopping, It doesn’t seem like a recipe for success in away games against cold weather playoff opponents.

It's inconceivable that Vaughn would be an every down back. Dak would be killed, especially behind the current OL. The RB has to be able to block, and that means either Luepke or Davis.

I would love to see how Luepke could handle the role of a 3-down player, but my guess is they figure out a way to get Davis up. How?
Best way is to "invent" an injury to a player that is typically inactive every week, like corner Eric Scott. Place him on IR and sign Davis to the 53.

The downside is Scott won't even be allowed to practice for four weeks.

How about the Eagles secondary and the 49ers oline? The Lions may be weak at corner tomorrow.

look at this point I think I'm leaving tyron Smith and hankins out until the playoffs these are two dudes that could use the rest and the healing because we need them more for the playoffs than we need them for the last two games I mean we almost beat Miami without either one of them a few little mistakes a couple of inches and we beat Miami so I think it's time to let them too not come back until game one of the playoffs...

This is an important game and we need him out there if he can play. There’s still an outside chance for a home playoff game. If we continue this losing streak we’re almost assured of a one and done. A home loss will point to the wheels coming off. No chance of going anywhere in the playoffs if you fall apart in December.
I agree he's very important and the game is important but we nearly beat the Miami Dolphins without either two hankins or Smith and I believe them being healthy for the playoffs is far more important I believe we could beat Detroit at home and Washington on the road without either one it may be a little harder but these two dudes are older and they need the rest and we need them more importantly to be fresh in the playoffs... Why risk aggravating the injury now and then them out longer maybe possibly missing the playoff game one let's let them both rest now...

I don't watch a lot of Detroit games but I know that defense is definitely susceptible to the pass over the run, and given the fact that we're at home the communication will be there the cadence the Prescott will have full control I believe the fans know when to be quiet that the passing game could be definitely back bigger than it has been the last two weeks...

RELEASE DEUCE VAUGHN!!!
It will drive me crazy if this becomes the Kellen Moore offense, where they try to use deuce Vaughn and clean up and short yardage and between the tackles,

I will literally pull what's left in my old hair out...

The problem with deuce Vaughn is he's just like Turpin in the way that he runs the same plays, & what he can do on special teams.

I mean how many play can you run for a lot of players doing the same thing as they use CD Lamb, Tony Pollard, and Turpin a lot in the same way behind the line of scrimmage and some of the pass plays you'd ask deuce to do, Turpin already does that...

It's not that deuce Vaughn can't offer us anything he can't offer us anything that we're not already doing with other players so that's why he hasn't been in games.

In my opinion this is going to be a lot more carries to hunter with a normal load to Pollard and I don't know how many plays DV going to get in.. I mean do they plan on giving Turpin a bigger load on offense, keep lamb foff run plays, and then letting deuce Vaughn loose on special teams etc

I mean I can see that maybe a fresher Turpin on offense can be even more explosive... What I'm saying is they seemingly are the same player in my opinion..

It looks like the Lions might have another starting corner out.

We'd be feeling less thin at RB and better about the offense if Hunter hadn't fumbled. Ugh. Been wanting to get him more involved all year.
Yes. That fumble made me sad. I've been pulling for the kid, and hoping to see more of him. That's not the ticket to more playing time.
