Wat?We basically had three 1000 yard receivers with a carousel at QB and no OL.
Cooper: 16 games, 92 receptions, 1114 yards, 5 TDs.
Lamb: 16 games, 74 receptions, 935 yards, 5 TDs.
Gallup: 13 games, 59 receptions, 843 yards, 5 TDs.
Gallup projected numbers over 16 games: 73 receptions, 1037 yards, 6 TDs.
74 catches 935 yards 5 TD's
More than acceptable for a 1st Rd WR.
That said- I am still a bit underwhelmed. Drops galore uncharacteristic of his history and disappears in games after quick starts. Not as elusive as I expected either.
Wat?
Gallup played in every game
Had Dak been healthy this would be more like 1,400. He was hitting him over the middle over and over.
Good season, but some killer drops in key moments. WFT thanksgiving dropped a TD and yesterday dropped a redzone pass setting up Dalton's 3rd down disaster. T.O. was another great one that dropped some passes. He'll be good for a long time.
Oh and his TD catch against Minny was definitely best catch all year.
I was absolutely ecstatic about drafting Lamb (and still am). That said, he is not without criticism. He’s got a bit of Gallupism in that he makes the spectacular play but has a penchant for bungling the routine. I would also say that I was a little underwhelmed with his YAC ability which was his calling card at OU. Given the type of player he appears to be, I fully expect him to come back stronger and improve on his consistency.
For all of you "get rid of Cooper" folks, just keep in mind that Amari kept the #1 CB off of Lamb for 16 games.74 catches 935 yards 5 TD's
Reagor struggled with injuries and poor QB play. He’ll be a monster in the right system.
Lamb put up great numbers but he was very underwhelming in this physical traits IMO. No blazing speed or broken tackles. Not an elite jump ball receiver aside from the Minn play. Too many easy drops so can’t even say great hands.
An offseason in an NFL weight room hopefully improves all that.
I don’t know if yesterday’s numbers are included but looks like 8 drops on 111 targets which isn’t outrageous but he’s dropped some big onesOutstanding rookie year. Clean up the dropsies and he will be a monster in this league
There is no get rid of Cooper now but in 2 years lamb will be even better and it will allow us to move on from lambFor all of you "get rid of Cooper" folks, just keep in mind that Amari kept the #1 CB off of Lamb for 16 games.

Hell of a rookie year number would of been 10x better with DAK at the helm just sayin74 catches 935 yards 5 TD's
Not just that, but losing so many OL hurt the WR's hurt our ability to to challenge deep for a good chunk of the yearHell of a rookie year number would of been 10x better with DAK at the helm just sayin
Dalton hit him over the middle WIDE OPEN at the end of the game yesterday......
