Final play before halftime, oh so close

I feel like Zeke could have lowered the boom on that guy with at least a stiff arm but that's easy for me to say. I am used to seeing these kinds of plays at the end of the half go the other way so I was thrilled when LA didn't score.

That was so dang exciting! After rewatching it Derwin had the angle and is a big dude. Had he not gotten him the next guy would have. Would have be an awesome time to stop on a dime but I get it.

If we had scored, it would have been reviewed. However, I don't believe it was a forward lateral. That kind of got started by the broadcast booth, but it looked like to me that Lamb pitched it slightly behind him.
it was close it looked like it could have went either way and if it had gotten to review status im sure we would have gotten a better look

The booth also jinxed the punt/roughing the punter penalty. Nantz said this is the first punt of the game and Romo said not yet.

My issue with that play............. love you Dak, but you running down the field trying to block someone, LOL, you get hurt on that and this fanbase might kill you.

We should have thrown a hail mary. I hated the play call because it appeared to just be a quick pass with the expectation SD was going to quickly shut it down and the teams would be headed into the locker room. If you look at Zeke, he was giving up until Lamb made an individual play to get into space, which led to the excitement but SD was in no danger of giving up the score with having only the goal line to defend. It was a stat padding play.

Yes but I don’t think that’s the player they called the penalty on, I could be wrong

Agreed. They called it on Wilson, who dived to block the punt and ended up taking out the punter's plant leg. Then, the pile plowed into the punter thanks to the hold. Bad job on the angle by Wilson. If he takes the right angle, he still might have gotten pushed into the punter by the pile, but hopefully, the officials would have seen that and not called a penalty.

I had no problem with it. Either play is low percentage.
