1. Malik McDowell DE - Top talent at what we need most.
2. Reuben Foster LB - Another chance to possibly grab a top talent at 28 due to issues.
3. Jabrill Peppers SS - If he is there and we pass on him we will rue the day for a decade.
4. Marlon Humphrey CB - Projects as the best all around corner in the draft.
5. Gereon Conley CB - Proven solid starter.

Whichever player on this list is available at 28 should be the pick.

Out of this list, Conley IMO. I like Humphries alot but he scares me a bit.

I like McDowell's talent but I value motor on the defensive line to much to really like him.

I like Peppers but we seems to have little to no interest in him

Does McDowell solve a pass rush problem?

I think he is talented enough to play RDE if they want him there. Can play any position on the line. The issue with him is his motor.

We wont get a more talented player at 28. But that motor is an issue and he has real busts potential

His motor was awesome when he was on a contending team. Something happened last year that lead to the entire team sucking and he played well at the beginning of the year until it became apparent that they were not in it.

All in all I wouldn't hate the pick. I can forgive young players for a down year if they fix. Im just very leary of any DL with motor issues. Even if it was a team thing

Id have liked to see much more interest in Peppers from them. They seem to be valuing turnovers amoung DB's, which I could understand as Peppers doesnt have that production. But they have brough in other DB's with little TO production. Why bring in Obi and not Peppers?

He was usually double and sometimes triple teamed and they had him at 3 tech where there wasn't room to maneuver. If we put him at RDE he will make a difference. If he is there I hope we take him.

I dont think they will pass on him at 28.

They had a private work out with him as well. They had done some homework and if they didnt feel good about the player they would have brought him in as a 30.

I wouldnt say its a mortal lock he would be the pick at 28 if there. But it would be a very strong probability

They could line him up at either DE spot and he would be the best pass rusher on the team or they can put him at DT and he would still be the best pass rusher on the team. He's the biggest freak athlete in this draft.
Big athleticism, seeming not as much motivation. At 28 I probably roll the dice on him. At 4, I probably would not.

One thing I like about him is disruptive at LDE in the vein that Peppers and Strahan were in the early mid 2000's. He can be your RDE, but if a smaller pass rusher comes to us, he can be a major force on the left side as well. People talk down on the LDE position and forget thats where Julius Peppers and Michael Strahan spent much of there careers. A truely dominant LDE may be even rarer and more valuable then a RDE

He is a hard guy for me to really to comment on because Id like to know how his interviews went. He has talent you typically wont find at 28, but bust potential as well.

But like I said earlier, Cowboys did a private workout, then brought him in as a 30. So they have done some homework. Would make me more confident about the pick.

Ability wise he can do more for you then any player in the draft in terms of how ge can be used. Including Garrett

He checks all the boxes. Except the one between the ears.

It is really difficult for fans to know the mental makeup of a player like McDowell. With players that fail drugs tests or punch a girl on video, we have a good feeling that they have problems, but with McDowell it's not that clear.

I watched 3 full games and I didn't see any laziness, but apparently I didn't watch the right games according to what I read. There must be some issue or he would never have a chance to make it to #28.
