here's hoping we can get 2 more years out of him. if free can't do the job, we need to draft a LT in round 1 next year. it would be nice if the rookie could learn for a year and then take over.

Based on our piss-poor drafting of o-lineman in the last decade or so, we should spend the cap dollars on free agent o-lineman. We can use the draft for every other position!

He hasn't had many days in his career that could be considered "best". To me, he is the player who most epitomizes this decade, which has been the lousiest in team history. Underachiever, lack of heart, lack of hustle, lack of discipline. I hope he can make me eat my words, but I seriously doubt it. I am too used to being underwhelmed by Flo most seasons, and this last year was the worst yet. He ranked in the bottom of the league in both pass blocking and run blocking, and was a penalty machine.

Umm, Flo has been one of the better LT in the league. You realize that right? You realize that he has held some of the best DE in the league without a stat in a game right?

He was pretty banged up last year. Vela thought he should have been shutdown at midseason given his injuries.

Flozel shouldn't have even been playing with the injuries he he had last season. The latter half of the year he should've been sitting, but toughed-it-out because our line had already received so many injuries. And yeah, the quality of his play declined during that period, when he had a NASTY infection on one hand and no strength in the other arm. *shock* And he still played at a fairly high level, even with Cory "turnstile" Proctor lined up next to him. And the thanks he gets are the fans saying he's done.

Well, sports fans are fickle. So I can't really blame ya. But I wouldn't write ol' Flo off just yet. O-linemen often play well into their 30s at a high level, and Flo has obviously done some work to get himself into shape. He's reportedly healthy, and focused.

I think, barring more injury, he's gonna turn in a real nice performance this year...

Hopefully being in better shape to kick things off will help him out.

cant think of the writers name right now, tim i think that blogs the cowboys practices on dallas morning news. A fan asked him a question about the offensive line, our past failures at drafting young offensive linemen. Tim said he would do some snooping with the cowboys to see if there was some particualar trait they are looking at and getting wrong.

I think thats a real good ideal, obviously, their drafting players in the offensive line hasnt paid off. So, something is wrong. I am worried that part of it lays at the door step of larry lacewell. Since, he is back with the cowboys now. Lacewell had terrible drafts with offensive linemen.

Jacquee Taylor did an article on it, with getting one of the players wrong, Jacob Peterman, he meant Jacob Rogers, now that was the fault of Parcells, the scouting department strongly told Parcells not to take Jacob Rogers, he was too injury prone. Then, we know how Parcells pushed and ruined Stephen Peterman, whom was a decent offensive guard.

So, I think part of this is due to Larry Lacewell, giving his thoughts on offensive linemen. Ciwoski, our scouting department head scout, needs to be left alone and choose offensive linemen because its obvious that Lacewell cant. Just my opinion.

Wait, I didn't know that to be true? How exactly did Parcells do this? Did Peterman or other insiders say as such? Can you confirm this or are you just speculating?

Remember the game when Peterman tried to come off of the field, he felt something in his leg, Parcells shoook his fist at him and told him to stay in the game, was a preseason game. Peterman had just opened up a big hole for the running back. Peterman went back out onto the field, and got hurt. Peterman said in a news article, that he shouldnt been out there, but gotten some rest, but Parcells pushed him to get back onto the field. That very next play, Peterman tore his knee up badly, took 2.5 years for him to recover from that devastating injury.

I also got this off of tim's blogging cowboys practice;

[Comment From Kyle]
What's this i hear about our O Line being weak? I heard Big Nate talking about that and saying that the D Line is tearing them apart in practice. How is it in your opnion? Thanks Tim.
2:50 Tim MacMahon: Depends on which practice you watch. It's evened out over the course of camp between the offensive and defensive lines, at least the starting unit. The backup OL doesn't win many matchups.

Peterman had not been doing all that well up to that point. One of the criticisims was that he was not putting it all out there. So no wonder BP sent him back out. Yeah it was a bad move but that sort of thing happens. And that knee injury should not have been that bad- I remember Peterman ended up going to a different doctor. Sort of like what happened to Colombo- his first doctor messed up as well.

There's an obvious statement.

Flo never has a weight issue. He always reports in at his required weight. He's never been over. The dude's muscle, not fat.

Larry Allen had weight issues. Flo doesn't.

He wasnt injured in the Arizona game, where he got completely owned. No excuses, he was on the field and he didnt perform that is the bottom line.
