Funny. Romo and his critics share something in common. Both are in catch-22 situations.

Per the norm, Romo will be unduly criticized no matter the outcome of his appearance in Philadelphia. Likewise, Romo critics will publicly reflect on his outing in unnecessarily artful or candid ways regardless how he or teammates performed during the game.

lol.

of the best QBs in the league. Prepare for greatness this Sunday, he's too good and he has rehabbed harder than ever to prove the doubters wrong. Antonio Ramiro Romo
The anti-Gabe strikes again!
No need to over-hype. Come on now.

Even if he plays, it's not with all the 1st unit and it'll be against a team hoping to salvage some dignity for their season in front of their home fans.
Would love to see him light it up, but the main goal is get him some live reps and shake what rust off that a month of practice may not have done.
usually not a lot of "lighting up" against division opponents even under normal circumstances.
Dak's ratings vs Philly and NY are 69, 80, and 45...for example.
The teams know each other so well.

I don't think that many starters will be out of the game. We know Tyron will be out leaving us 6 OL players so starters along that OL for the most part will be playing. Dak managed without Dez for what 3 or 4 weeks. Cowboys will only have so many WR so Williams, Butler and Beasley will all be playing. Witten? He always plays. Zeke may not get many snaps but I expect he will get some and as so many around the league have pointed out RB is a position of strength in Dallas with McFadden and Morris along with Dunbar.

I hear you. And it's fine if not all the guys are there. They don't need to give Romo special treatment...he knows what he's doing out there.
But Pro Bowler Smith, Pro Bowler Zeke, and ex pro Bowler Dez....that is a lot missing. It's already a struggle vs Philly's defense to begin with...as Dak will attest to.

But hey, if they throw him out there, then go for it.

True but then Dak played without Smith and Dez in week 3 and Smith also missed game 4 of the season. I agree Romo does not need special treatment but I think this offense still has some good weapons at his deposal. Myself I felt Cleary did a very good job in place of Smith. As for Zeke and Dez I have not heard they would not play however would expect they will have a short day.

There is no winning with critics. Myself I hope Romo can go out there and performs to a high level. Heading into post season I would hate to see Romo 1st live action take place in a playoff situation. I think giving him this time leading up to post season can only benefit him. What critics say really does not matter

All true but I don't understand the optimism/belief in romo. Recent history tells us he will get hurt or play poorly. He has only gotten older and football is a young man's game.

I nor anyone should discount romos contributions over the years. The thing is this league is all about what have you done lately, not what you have done in the past.
